LL will probably begin its run in November (AMAs, EMAs) and end its peak in February right in time for the Grammys
then whatever closing single she chooses will start and she can perform at BBMA
AFTER THEY GIVE HER A SPECIAL ACHIEVEMENT award. By then she'll have the #1 song of the year in 2014 and her 10th #1 hit.

I was clearly kidding about the Dark Horse comment.
Low key I really think she would have been able to perform it herself and the crowd would have went wild the way they did with Fancy.

TIWHD needs one performance regardless of its quality to promote the single while on tour and she is not performing that night on tour...it's a matter of timing really.

LL is a fall song but also fits in the winter. However, we are faced with TIHWD which will take up July - October.

Legendary Lovers being better in Winter than it would be in Summer? Mess. Just admit that you made that argument up based on nothing to try to defend an awful single choice. If we *have* to match songs to seasons Late Summer/Autumn, July - October, is clearly the perfect time for Legendary Lovers, it's pretty much the exact opposite of what I would describe as a Winter song.

Dark Reds, Golds, Oranges.. Perfect colours to be used for the song, August would be the best time of year for that song to peak if we're pretending seasons matter when choosing singles.

Oh so that's why you made the fall single statement? You are clearly bothered by something I said before. I was wondering where that came from.

That doesn't mean that she can't still perform at the VMAs and her not performing during the night she had a cheese block on her head serving gorgeous pink hair realness doesn't mean that she couldn't perform this year.
Bare in mind LFN was released at the top of June. it's july and at best we might get it released to radio at the end of the month which means timing is perfect to promote at VMAs.

Like many fall singles they also fare better in the winter.
Just like many spring singles can fare better in the summer as well.

Technically if LL was released in November it would be the end of the fall

I don't need to admit anything I have the right to believe certain songs fit better in a particular season.

Imagine california gurls in released in December.
Imagine Unconditionally released in July

You are hilarious thinking that seasons aren't a factor.
There are certain songs people like to associate with summer.
Labels are aware that certain songs have higher chance of impact if released at the right time.

It's quite simple really.

Yeah I remember when people wanted the song released in April/May instead of birthday and i was like

We'll have to agree to disagree about it working in the summer...if she didn't have multiple songs on her album that are geared more towards the summer than I could see it more.

Hopefully LL is released in October/November to close out the late fall and bring in the early winter.

i mean outside of LL, there isn't a better choice for a song to smash in the winter except the few songs that can smash in any season (there's only about 3 of those and 2 were already singles).

LL would be handled perfectly if it were released the week of her one year anniversary of Prism and then performed at the EMAs and AMAs and video released around that time to entice black friday buyers that operate on shiny new toy syndrome and then December it will have time to resonate to the GP and from there it's smooth sailing and a performance at the Grammy's during the time it could peak on radio early February...

from there close the era with something different.

I don't know why but I keep having a feeling that it takes two might end up being a single for some strange reason
