Bryan, I like some of your posts but lets not do too much to become Nicole 2.0 to be seen as less delusional than the rest of us. We know that Gaga is musically irrelevant ATM (on iTunes, radio etc) but you can't deny that she isn't generally relevant (weight gain, headlines about tweets etc, huge ticket sales despite the BTW era). And yes, every celebrity has a fragrance but Gaga's outsold all of those fragrances in it's first week

If you doubt Gaga that much, just walk the walk and do what Nicole did, it's probably better for you than knit picking every aspect of Gaga's career.

And I love how you're using her becoming fat and being attacked by Madonna as examples of relevance. If anything, it's just showing how the public isn't on her side.

I'm not cosigning or denying that, because we simply don't know and she's kept in the air for too long as it is. The thing is, I think that with ARTPOP, considering the state that the industry is in as a whole, if she pulled Circus-esque, numbers (1.7M) then that would be more than respectable.

Why? Other pop girls are struggling to go platinum. 1.7 million would be amazing in today's sales climate; just because she's not selling as much as her debut doesn't mean she's lowered to the level of average pop stars.

Gaga did it right at the start of her career.

The examples you listed were when the stars were established icons already. Gaga's image to the public was still being digested and formed, and then she swerved off the rails into a horn-******* Judas-worshipper, dancing around on stairs for no reason before suddenly going country and ending up in a hospital room for no clear reason.

I'd agree with you saying about the public not being on her side if she was pulling California Dreams Tour numbers and low perfume sales after the BTW era. To say that the public is not here for her because of some under performing singles when the album sold 7m+ copies is just

People also said that Taylor fell off after Speak Now. That Speak Now only sold as much because of the hype from Fearless etc. Turns out Red is way more successful already. People said the same thing for Rihanna after Rated R and then she came with Loud lol

Gaga's huge. If people like the music, they will buy it. Born This Way wasn't exactly glorious, but if the music from the next era is good, she hasn't lost anything really.
