I'm glad people finally realized how overrated UMS is. I can't even listen to most of those songs now that I've lost my teenage angst. It's still great - though I disagree with Lewis about it being "raw" - besides How Does It Feel, Forgotten, and Slipped Away, none of them actually come of as that emotional. A lot of these just sound like she sat down to write and tried a wee bit too hard.
Not that they're bad. I think the production is mostly to blame for...muffling the emotion. I don't think she really let it out when she sang some of those. Maybe it's just because I can now compare her vocal output in Goodbye Lullaby and compare.
