Aphrodite was first for me. It was current around the time I read a review of "Monster" by my then-fave Gaga that compared it to her, so I started there and loved it. But that was 2010 - it wasn't until The Best of Kylie Minogue came out in 2012 that I looked further, and that album was so damn good I got hooked. It was a gradual process - I'd say I really dived into her discography and album tracks around when Kiss Me Once was released, because despite the hate it receives I really loved it. I listened basically in order of release after that and naturally developed my faves within her discography and all. Now she's my #1, and has more or less been so for two years!

Kylie is superior - infinitely so - within her niche. If she appeals to you, she hooks you hard because she gets the songs right; they're perfectly crafted pop.

Madonna's advantage is in her versatility and greater depth of emotion. She can better convey a wider range of feelings and she's explored so many genres. My favorite Madonna songs lately - mind you I consider her my #2 and have all of her material ever - have been things like "What It Feels Like for a Girl," "I'll Remember," and "Little Girl."
