Off topic but:
- Its funny how many people try to make fun of Rihanna social media statistics and digital power as if we're in 2001 and all these things are irrelevant. (Remember a lot of people throwing shade when she got her ICON award and they were displayed) Even Forbes took note of the change over time and added the social media ranking to their list. People don't realize how much technology plays a big part in pop culture.
Look at what Rih did with MAC, the hype she was able to generate with PIU behind the scenes, she even got people arrested off IG
I say all that to say Im glad Rih is the social media Queen because most people aren't waiting by their TV screens for a video to premiere on MTV or lining up at Walmart to buy physical copies when these things can be accessed online. Social media is one of the reasons why Rih will always be relevant with/ without a new release.
