Here's some college advice bc I just got my last decision just last month and it was a pretty **** 4 months.
Remember UW gpa is more important. Keep taking difficult classes and don't let that gpa drop! But if you really think a class might really hurt your gpa because, don't take it. (Honors Math 4 Pre Calc junior year was a total disaster for my gpa). Make sure you have a few teachers in mind that you could ask recommendations from, and make yourself look good in front of them, participate often, etc.
This summer, start writing some college essays. They don't even have to be essays, just memoirs about specific memories that mean a lot to you, and think about how you can fit that in portraying yourself as a person and your ambitions and aspirations. Don't half ass them all a few days before, it just won't work especially if you're trying to get into a top 20 school. At least have a list of topics to work with.
In the fall, apply to a reach school, but not too reach.
Don't go by the logic that if you apply to a bunch of top schools, at least one or two are BOUND to accept you.
All lessons that I've learned, lol

Go wherever you feel comfortable. My mom wants me to go out of state (it doesn't sound too bad) but I refuse to be drowned in debt. What is even the point of out of state tuition?

I'd be paying full OOS tuition for Purdue, but I could easily get a job right after graduation because Purdue engineering is really hard. I don't like math though

NYU is more pricey but it's still a much better location, closer to home and I know someone who went there who got most of the tuition paid off with scholarships at the school. It's also in the field I want (IR, politics, prelaw, etc) and there's a lot more wiggle room.

He sent me the application and I'm honestly really interested in doing it but it's like really long hours and I really wanted to enjoy my summer off for once instead of doing summer classes at my college. I don't know if I should do it or not.
The pay is $13 instead of the $7.75 I currently make though, which is really appealing.
What do you guys think? It would be really cool to have that kind of job just out of high school at 18.

Hell, if that's in the field you plan on working in, of course you do it!
How do you get hs teachers that offer you summer jobs and internships... wtf. All of my teacher relationships feel super superficial.
