Obviously, they are similar. But Ride is undeniably one of the best songs of last couple of years. Everybody needs more Ride in their lives. While this song gives more like evening / midnight feel, Angels Forever is giving me early morning / dawn vibes. So amazing. I think they somehow need to remaster this one, and it would be perfect track for UV. I'm pretty sure that the thing that got leaked is raw demo, cause why would Lana repeat herself and make Ride 2.0? We'll see.

Nothing new really, but here is a small bit of Dan Auerbach talking about his recordings with Lana. We already know all of it what he mentions, but yeah

Auerbach has produced Lana Del Rey's second album, Ultraviolence
And you've also produced Lana Del Rey's new album, which is out in June. How was that?

Dan: It was interesting. It was great. She's an amazing musician, and she wrote some great songs and came to the studio in Nashville. We planned to record for three days and after the second day we extended it, and it became two weeks. I filled the studio with musicians I knew and we finished an album.

Is the single, West Coast, representative of how the rest of the album sounds?

Dan: Yes and no. It's a live band experience, with Lana singing. She sings live on 99% of the album, which was really cool. There was a seven-piece band playing in the live room and she's in the next room with a handheld microphone singing live. It was very different from her first record

i know this is annoying question, but what does he mean she was singing live? as in, while recording UV she sang while the band was playing where as for BTD she sang apart from the strings? i guess that makes sense!

Normally they make many takes I assume, you just sing the chorus in one take, then you sing the back round chorus with additional singers too for another take, you sing just the verses also with a different take, you can also change the microphone equipment etc.

State of the art is a steady Neumann microphone

Yeah, I guess she did the same thing as Sophie Ellis-Bextor on Wanderlust, like 'Young Blood' where it's not so strictly studio recorded but more as a live thing, do you get what I mean?

Here's a video of how she recorded her song 'Young Blood' - I use this as an example because she also described it the same way as Dan.
It sounds more 'real', well live that way.
