MØ performs at mtvU Woodie Awards
After being two years with her previous labels Chess Club Records and RCA Victor, MØ has announced that she parted her ways with both labels and jumped on Indigo Records ship, which also became her management and booking agency as well. And it seems, that the new label/management is treating her very well. MØ's new label has announced that she will be appearing on a lot of TV shows and gigs these upcoming weeks, which will lead to MØ's sophmore album release. But, currently, the new buzzing indie darling is focusing on promoting her new energetic single 'Bikini Daze', which was released immediatly after Karen premiered the song at Indigo Records showcase at SXSW festival, which was held in Austin, Texas. The next stop on her promotion plan is the famous underground mtvU Woodie Awards, which always attracts good amount of people, and also airs on the mtvU channel. MØ appeared with her three members live band, which consists of MØ's closest friends and also, her music producer, who produced her new single as well. The crowd reacted really good when MØ came on the stage, shouting and creating a huge noise for her. Her performance was really good, and it definately hyped up the audience, making them jump and sing along with the singer. MØ was really energetic and hyped up as well as she danced and jumped on the stage during the uptempo song. She really did give away everything she could give, and she definately put all of her energy in this performance, since it's really not easy to dance and jump around the mtvU Woodie Awards stage and sing as good as possible at the same time. MØ's peformances are definately worth the attention that it gets, and she just proves with every single performance that the new artist is here to stay.

MØ appears on Good Morning America
One of the most promising artists today, MØ, has appeared on the Good Morning America, where she performed her single Bikini Daze, and also gave an interview by answering questions that were asked by hosts. This was her first ever interview on American TV, and that's why MØ probably seemed to be a little bit nervous about that, but other than that, she gave a perfect interview, and it seemed like the hosts had pleasure interviewing such an interesting person. But first, Karen appeared on Good Morning America stage to perform her new single Bikini Daze, which is also her sophmore album's lead single. She showed up on the stage with three live band members, who played Bikini Daze instrumental live. It definately sounds more interesting live when instrumental is played live by a band, instead of just playing the instrumental on it's own. A lot of people came to Good Morning America studio, since her management selected a lot of people on Twitter to see this little gig. It's hard to believe, but about ten thousand people on Twitter participated in this selection, but Indigo decided to select about hundred people, since the studio isn't big as well. However, about three hundred people were watching MØ performing right behind studio's window. Like always, the singer served a energetic performance, and her performance looked really enjoyable, because MØ knows exactly how to hype up the audience - she jumped into the crowd, danced with them, also jumped and shouted around the stage, and it seemed that people really enjoyed time that they spend while watching Karen's performance. It is super rare that artist knows how to hype up the audience, and MØ seems to do it just perfectly. After her performance, she thanked everyone who came in to watch her performance, and after the performance, she walked off the stage to take pictures with fans and sign some pictures as well as physical copies of her first album. Later, MØ appeared on Good Morning America show once again to give an exclusive interview.
Host: Right now, we're in studio with one of the most promising artists out there right now. Singer and songwriter, who is from Denmark, with her performances and her unique songs just proves, that she might be the next big Scandinavian act that breaks out in the world. Karen Marie Ørsted, who appears in the music industry just as MØ, is here with us today in the studio! Now, when I first saw your stage name, I instantly thought that you're not just another standart pop girl, and then I heard your music, which definately just proved that you're an unique artist, as well as a person. What does MØ means, and how did you come up with this interesting name?
MØ: Well, I was planning to go out just as Karen Ørsted, which is my real name, but then I thought that it is too long, and it'll be harder for people to remember my surname, since it contains slashed O, which is Danish letter. But, then I started thinking of shorter names, I was thinking to go by just Marie Orsted, since a lot of artists goes by middle name and their surname, but again, it doesn't stick out, there's nothing interesting about that. Then I thought of KMØ, but it's harder to pronounce, since it would sound like key-moo. And as I was saying KMØ out loud, I instantly felt that MØ would be a really interesting name, and it's easy to pronounce. Just muh, with this more harsh sounding oo. Like bleu, but with M instead of B and L. Then, I remembered that MØ means virgin and maiden in Danish language. So, that's how I came up with my stage name and also my first song Maiden.
Host: Now that's what I call interesting story. And this name is super interesting as well, as soon as you see it, it just clicks in your memory and it would be hard to forget it. So, MØ, a lot of fashion blogs and websites are buzzing around, talking about your now famous high braided ponytail. How did you came up with that hairstyle?
MØ: There's nothing interesting to tell about this hairstyle, since it's just simple braided ponytail, but a lot higher. I don't know, I really like to feel comfortable during my performances, because I move a lot, I dance, I jump, I walk into the crowd, and it's annoying when your hair falls on your face, I don't think people who are watching me perform wants to see how I'm handling with my hair during the performance. However, I really like to swing my hair, I'm like... Beyonce, but with braided high ponytail. And that's why I like to make a high braided ponytail of it, instead of just having a bun. Buns are so 2012.
Host: Your music is super super interesting, and honestly, you won't hear a song that is similar to your sound on the radio. How would you describe it, and how did you come up with your music style, is there any kind of story behind it?
MØ: According to Wikipedia, my music is a mix of soul, pop, eletronica, R&B and alternative dance. I would also add indie rock, but yeah, Wikipedia is actually accurate, and they described my music very well. It's a mixture of a lot of genres, since there are a lot of sounds that influenced me. When I was younger, Spice Girls were my obsession, and I'm not afraid to say that I used to be obsessed with them, they have a huge impact on me. I literally used to have, and well, I still have, every single CD, DVD, poster, book, vinyl copies, and, literally, EVERYTHING. I even weeped on my school desk when Geri left the group. Then, when I was a teenager, I fell inlove with punk and hip-hop music, and then in my early twenties, I started listening to indietronica, and alternative dance music. So sum everything up and there you have it, the MØ genre.
Host: That is something super interesting and I can't wait to hear more from you. Well guys, our time is over today, be sure to follow MØ on Twitter and Facebook to get latest updates on her unique music, and be sure to download her new single Bikini Daze on iTunes. See you tomorrow, goodbye!

MØ covers NME magazine
New issue of NME magazine just hit the shelves, and this time on the cover - the glowing singer and songwriter, one of the most promising artists at the moment - MØ. The Danish singer shows more classy side of her on the cover by dressing up fancier than she usually does - on the cover, MØ is photographed infront of dark-ish pink shade background, wearing simple loose black shirt with Gucci logotype on it; leopard print jacket and matching leopard print hair accessory. Her make-up is super simple, not even noticable, but she looks amazing nevertheless, since it's really a rare thing to see MØ dressed up fancier, since she always wears something more simple, punk-ish and comfortable. Inside of the magazine, there is a huge, 8-page long spread about MØ and her music career, as well as photos from this photoshoot that she did for NME magazine.
You can always see headlines on the internet, such like 'MØ delivers excellent show at SXSW' or 'MØ gives everything she has during the gig at Vega.' The Danish singer, who recently got signed onto Indigo Records label, admits, that performing and touring is one of her favorite things to do. "I love performing, I love tours. Yeah, you get tired of performing and giving all of your energy every single night, but I think that is my favorite part of the music business. I think performing is an amazing way to connect with your fans and to let them experience what each song exactly means. Not because live performances are more natural, but because when you perform live, it's like you... you expose yourself, completely. When you release studio version of a song, people, who are listening to your music can't exactly see what the artist is feeling, but when you're performing live, you show your feeling, youi shout, you cry, you punch air with your fists because of the angriness, you jump around, you swing your hair, you break down - they can see everything, and I think when they can see you, they relate more, so that is a great thing, it's my favorite way to connect with my fans. They can see what songs means to me", - says MØ, who is planning to have a mini tour around US sometime really soon, to introduce herself as a performer and artist to American audience, since she haven't really toured here. When we ask MØ about recording songs that other people have written, Karen just shyly smiles and shakes her head. "I don't think I could, or I would want to sing a song that wasn't written by me. I mean, I adore some people's written songs, for example, I think Paige Elliot, Scandinavian mate Eric Saade and Taylor Swift writes good songs, and they are super good, but I don't think they're meant for me. Everyone has their own story, everyone goes through something, and I... I just feel really weird when I sing a song that is based on someone else's story. I don't know what it is about, I don't know what it means and I just can't find the right emotion, and that is exactly why I can't remember song's lyrics. However, I covered Spice Girls song Say You'll Be There, but just because I was able to relate, I was able to relate to the lyrics, I meant something for me as well, even if I didn't wrote it." Speaking of the lyric writing, MØ says that she writes all of her songs on her own, but producers or people who knows how music and lyrics works, finalizes it. "Song writing is a difficult thing to do. It's not that easy to sit down and write a song that could mean something not only for me, but for others to. It's hard to find the right word, it's hard to express yourself and not to exposing too much about yourself, because if one word is not rightly used, then music blogs and websites are going to scan you and your song completely. So it is actually hard to write a song without exposing yourself too much. However, even if I don't like to expose myself too much, I still love rough lyrics, because the lyrics are rougher, the more the story is understandable. It's a tricky process, but I guess that's how every songwriter writes their song." A lot of her favorite artists from earlier years had inspired MØ and her music style, which something unique and never heard before. "Spice Girls are my number one influencers. They influenced my songs, they influenced my style. When I was a child, I loved them, I went to every single concert that they were having in Denmark, I had every single poster, I had their CDs and everything that they have released. Then, when I was a teenager, I became like every single teenager, you know, not so opened up about their problems and what's going in your life. I started adoring hip-hop, punk music, and I think that punk music inspired my whole image. And then, in my early twenties, I became obsessed with indietronica and alternative music. And I think these three genres influenced my current music style, that indietronica alternative punk pop genre. And I feel like this genre is unique, because it is me, it is my genre." We can definately see, that MØ's image have been inspired by her punk teenager years, because she always looks really rough, and she always sticks out of the crowd: "Definately, my image is definately inspired by my teenage/punk years, and it inspired my music as well. I know, people calls me weird or different, because I wear thing they don't wear. I wear big pink fur coats with black tight leggings and hipster-ish white shoes. And every single time I have my hair in a super high braided ponytail. I live my life happily, I'm channeling my wildness, my craziness, my feelings." Even if she admits that she lives a happy live, however, her excellent debut album 'No Mythologies To Follow' and also her latest single 'Bikini Daze' proves us otherwise. "My debut album is super dark, and lonely, and sad. I mostly write about love, and I suck at love, because literally, I can't keep one guy by my side. I always mess up my relationships, and I channel my feelings through my songs. There is only one fun song on my debut album, Don't Wanna Dance, and it was written like six years ago, when I met this guy during dance night. I don't know, I'm trying to write more happy songs, but somehow it's more easier for me to write songs about break ups, about sadness, loneliness, and stuff that is about that." MØ also explains, that it's really a pleasure to be in a league with her current favorite artist. "It's such an honor that since I have signed with Indigo Records, now I'm competing with Paige Elliot, Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, Krewella... All these amazing artists are mind-blowing, and I love their music, they inspire me as well, and it's... Wow. I remember when I was sitting on the couch in my living room back in Denmark, and now look, I'm performing at SXSW, I'm covering NME, my tour will start soon. That is all so surreal. Woah."

Taylor Swift live on The Bobby Bones radio show
Taylor Swift has had an amazing month so far, scoring two numbers ones in less than a threww, a feat only done by oddly Swift's best friends, Paige Elliot and Justin Bieber. With Bieber reigning on the albums chart and Swift on the singles charts, fans are patiently waiting for Swift's appearance on the albums chart with her upcoming album that has remained wrapped and locked besides interviews where Swift has talked openly about the album. Except for a demo of one of the album tracks, 'Bitter Reality' leaking earlier last week.
Taylor Swift is in the studio. How are you Taylor?
I'm really really good. Happy to be here.
You told us last time you were, I believe it was the CMA's that you sort of ran through what we were going to ask you. Did you do that this morning?
No, I can't of let that entire 'rehearsed' thing go. I feel like just talking out of what I feel rather than what people tell me to say is much more liberating you know.
You've kicked off this album campaign with some immediate success. Loving The Wrong Way shot straight to #1, Swarovski straight to #1. First, congratulations and second, do you feel any pressure for the next single to do well?
Thank you so much and not just you but everyone in the Nashville that has supported the song. Even if it's not really necessarily a country song. I never thought I'd see the day where country stations would play an electropop song. I don't really feel any pressure about the commercial success about the next single. The single coming up is one of my favorite songs off the record and it's kind of almost guaranteed success from what I have planned for it.
Tell us some about the album and how everything is coming along.
The album is completely finished. I actually finished it the week Loving The Wrong Way was coming out. I'm really proud of the way it came out. It has a very uh sinister sound to it that I suck at describing in words. I really can't wait for people to just listen to the record.
Have you titled the album yet?
I have actually. I'm just waiting on the go from my label to reveal it. Which shouldn't be very soon.
Now what about the album cover?
I'm so so so excited to reveal the album cover. It's my best so far deinitely and it's just the album in one picture. It's a bit over the top but in a good way. It's original.
Now we want to ask you for a favor. Can you perform 'Swarovski' and 'Loving The Wrong Way' for us?
I would love to. Do you guys have a guitar?

THE TALK
Today Miley Cyrus appeared on The Talk for some conversation, and she was invited to perform three songs on the show, which all were shown on the air. The episode drew in about 12% more viewers than the previous episode, as Miley makes a good impact on the ratings.
Julie: Our guest today has spent the last week fighting for us women through music and fashion. With the re-release of 2013 album 'My Truth', this artist has risked it all to continue her vision. Ladies, please put your hands together for Miley Cyrus!
Miley was on the stage, with a tiny band, her perched on the keyboard. She played some chords together and began to sing the title track, "My Truth" in an acoustic, stripped performance. She also had one backup singer in this performance, which provided another refreshing voice. Throughout the song she played very softly with passion, as her vocals were on-point. Some guitars would lightly play during the bridge and small chords of an electro-piano would beam during the chorus. The audience gave Miley a standing ovation, with Julie Chen escorting her to the table.
Julie: That was lovely, ladies and gentlemen, Miley Cyrus!
*Applause*
Sheryl: Have a seat darling.
*Miley sits, takes a sip of her tea*
Sharon: Hello Miley.
Miley: Sharon! How are you?
Sharon: I'm doing well, yourself?
Miley: I'm doing good.
Julie: So Miley, let's get this straight. You released your comeback album 'My Truth' last summer, and then after September your record label went on a hiatus. They came back, but with a new roster, and you were on your own break. Now, you've continued the album promotion and we're here.
Miley: That's correct, yeah.
Aisha: So Miley, why didn't you just release a new album?
Miley: Well you know, I just wanted to finish what I had started. I mean I know my label mates Krewella are still working on their project, but my album was already out, you know? And I only had two singles, and they did pretty well which means... people like the music. So it would just feel very odd for me not to continue what I've started, and I really wanted to get back on the road touring and going to all these countries. And my second album with Revolution Records feels like a Fall album. It wouldn't work with sunshine and Spring, it needs that darker time to really fit in.
Sara: And what have you been working with on your second album?
Miley: The second album is darker, more aggressive and just... more intense-sounding than 'My Truth'. 'My Truth' was a very upbeat, happy kind of album. This album... there's some rage, some crossover songs. The album's very different from 'My Truth', and I certainly think it's better.
Julie: Now, let's just go back to the tour for just a minute.
Miley: Yeah.
Julie: So... you've put out the dates and the tickets, and as I'm looking you're just... really flying from one place to another in just a matter of a couple of days. How do you keep up?
Miley: Well my old tour was literally planned like this. "Okay, so let's go to Poland on the 18th and Spain on the 19th. Followed by India on the 21st," or something like that. Although I was one of the people who pushed for the tour to be extremely crammed, I didn't have much time to kick back, enjoy the places and actually get on TV. But with this schedule, there's lots more breaks in between and we have a general outline of promoting in almost every place I visits so that's great.
Sara: Don't you feel pressure though, or get very overwhelmed?
Miley: Trust me honey, if I didn't break doing my last tour I can keep up with this one.
Sharon: Well I think it's great, you're going to all these places like the UK, Australia, China, South Africa... I mean, you're really going just about everywhere.
Miley: Yeah, we had to cut a lot of US gigs and some countries to fit in with the schedule, but of course on the road I'll just like make some stops and sign some autographs here and there. I'll do what I can.
Aisha: So Miley, today's CAL chart day!
Miley: It is?
Julie: It's Saturday.
Miley: Oh damn, I thought it was Sunday.
Aisha: Anyways... how do you think you'll do?
Miley: I definitely have to jump from next week, but the competition's only gotten fiercer this week.I expect the album to do very well, and of course for "On the Radio" to do very well, but I don't think I'll reach my goals of Top Three and a #1 album just yet. But as long as I keep going up, consistency is the only thing I really care about, and as long as I can somehow get "On the Radio" to go Top Three in the future, I'm happy.
Sara: Well speaking of "On the Radio", you're going to perform that for us right after the break. Stay tuned for more Miley right here on The Talk!
After the break, Miley got another introduction, this time by Sharon as she geared up to perform "On the Radio". The live band was a little larger this time, as Miley perform with that and her microphone alone. The arrangement was more Pop-Rhythmic with less of the Rock vibe from their David Letterman performance. There was no playback in this performance, as Miley sand and rapped everything herself effortlessly. The way the guitars manipulated the vibe during the rapping was amazing, a great compliment to the timing of the song and Miley's flow. Miley held out a long impressive note at the final chorus, leaning and flipping her head a bit, getting into the music. She knocked the microphone stand down on the floor.
After that, she sat down on a stool and got an acoustic guitar to perform an acoustic version of "Free Falling". She played all alone by herself, which was a first. She bopped her body along a little to the song, delivering excellent vocals. During the performance, some of the hosts' reactions were shown. All of them appeared to be either intrigued, delighted or impressed with Miley's musicality. She finished with a light outro with light vocals until everything faded away nicely. The audience gave her another standing ovation, as Miley came down to hug all the women and left the scene.
