Why are you trying so hard?
Like you said some soundtrack singles do well, some don't...in the last few years they have been few and far between, It Will Rain and Skyfall, with those behind Skyfall vetting it to be the best selling digital single of all time...it didn't even come close. And when was the last kids movie to have a hit soundtrack song? Most likely that was Life Is A Highway, and that was over 5 years ago.
Some of you are acting like this is her album lead single , trying way to hard to make it bigger than it is. The thirst is far too clear

Yeah, I don't even get the comparisons. Bruno and Skyfall (which wasn't as huge of a hit as people predicted) catered to their audience. This is catered to a younger and more poppier audience and sounds like something she could have released for her 2nd album.
If they were really trying to go hard, a video would have been out the same week.

LOL. I think it's just climbing slowly and will rise after the movie release

The radio updates are amazing! Streaming is going really well too! All of this will help push the song higher in time for the music video, movie trailers, and the movie premiere to promote the song enough to push it a lot more.

I'm glad it's doing well streaming.

Ya'll damn well know the rolling effect for next Monday will help kill the song, especially on the radio. Its radio updates are average at best. Deal with it.

Gurlll. you are hilarious. I love your posts. Such a undercover Britney stan.

Pay attention please.
Britney's smart team obviously forecast that which is why next week (June 25th) the PHYSICAL single will be released. That will definitely soften the blow IF there is a rolling effect. Remember Peaches... BILLBOARD gives a high percentage to the purchasing of the single (thru iTunes, AMAZON, Physical copy, etc.).
Your fav could take a few lessons from the Princess of Pop to stop the flops...

Yeah, I think it will help with the kid market to have a physical single released.
Don't come for christina. After her past two eras, it's not even funny...it's more like bullying. Let a sleeping dog lie.

With all due respect, this song is gonna literally smash. How unexpected....JK it's Britney Spears. She hasn't released a solo single in a while, and by picking this song was the smartest thing her team could do. It screams summer and fun and love. It's adorable. GET THAT HIT BRITNEY. And has anyone noticed how FU**IN good she looks ?!
|
My only thing is that this will take away some hype from her first lead single...especially since this is a departure from where she is going musically.

Like next week?
I kind of want them to release it during the 4th of July week when people are out buying stuff.

I don't know, I think this will debut at the top 40 like Body Party did, because of streaming and the radio deal.

I hope so. I want it to at least go top 20 on radio and hot 100 during video week and then go top 10 on digital, hot 100, pop, world chart during the end of July for the week of movie release.
