Did Pink fall off the top 200 again?
Also, it's sad RBD fell 67%, but I guess it's their fault for not promoting the album enough, they're doing promotion on Mundo 2 (a channel which I assume mainly Latinos watch) and Cartoon Network (LOL) now that's terrible promotion, kids usually don't care to much about music until their a bit older (when they reach their teens).

I hope Switchfoot is stable with their finances because they haven't sold very many CDs. '~'... I hope they make gold by the end of this year.

^I didn't realize 1.2 million sold and 2 top 20 singles (both of which gave her top 10 hits at pop radio, making her 6th amongst female singers) was a flop.

So... I don't know what happens in US because seems like B2B is more expensive than B'Day... even all Britney albums are more expensive than B2B in Mexico, they cost $20 or more.

LMFAO.
XTINA should already give up with anything related to this album. She has to just go away and try harder with a "sex sells" album next time.

OMFG!!!! I think that I may have found the most ignorant, moronic, obsessed, delusional, retarded (feel free to stop me at any time), hypocritical, contradicting, overexaggerating dumbass in all of cyberspace.
Dude, you DO NOT know what you are talking about so please stop acting like it! I mean, how the hell are you gonna compare an album released in 2006, to an album released almost four years prior? You know, as well as I do, that the music entertainment market is nearly flushed when it comes to album sells and that comparing 2 albums, 4 years apart, is completely unfair!
Back to Basics has only been released for about 5 months and it's already triple platinum, she's had 2 top 10 hit's on pop, she has been nominated for 2 grammy awards, she is finishing up (or has probably already finished) the european leg of her tour which was very sucessful and got amazing reviews, she is about to release her 3rd single Candyman which is already blowing up on itunes, and she is getting ready to start up her American tour which is one of the most anticipated of the year. ****, I know some artist that would kill to be able to "flop" like Xtina.
And before I leave, I'd just like to say something to Mr. M.A.R.C-tronic... To not like Christina is one thing, and to not like her fans is another. But don't let your hatred blind you to the reality of the situation. Christina Aguilera is doing just fine with this album. Lighten up dude!!!! Focus all that aggression on something that'll actually make a difference. Like global warming or something

Dont let them get to you. As long as you like the album at the end of the day that is what matter

We have to remember that this is a double disc set. I don't think some of you realize how much that makes a difference in terms of sales.
|
I agree. And the album is not as radio friendly as Stripped, but she knew she was taking a risk.
Quote:
Making a double CD was a risk, Aguilera acknowledged. "I did kind of shoot myself in the foot, because it costs more to put out a double album, and the label isn't always so happy about that, and statistically they don't sell as well," she said. "But I think it's important to be fearless whenever you're doing something for your art."
---------
Aguilera's co-conspirator on the less commercial half of Basics, she admits, ''I don't even know if any of my songs are hits. But nobody makes albums anymore, and that's why it was a pleasure to work on this, because Christina didn't want to just make a bunch of singles. When she came to me with this idea, she had it all exactly mapped out. She put a CD [of influences] together, and wrote out a two-page thing of why she likes Billie Holiday, why she likes Nina Simone. I said, Count me in. If she'd said, 'I want to do Stripped again, because I sold a lot of records — write me another ''Beautiful,''' I would have told her the same thing I told Pink: 'We did it, that's it — I don't need to do that again.' But this was a ballsy move.'' EW.com

Well to me it looks like you're the obsessed one. Everything you said is true, but Marc is also right. ANOM went #6, Hurt has only managed #19. Oh before I go on, it's sad u just HAVE to use Pop 100 when u know damn well Hot 100 matters more 2 people. ok, B2B is only platinum in the US and only 2x platinum WW, so that's a negative. U are right about the sales being completely different from 2002 til now, but that hasn't effected Justin or Beyonce, two artists who released music around Stripped. 2 grammys is WOW, Candyman is BLOWING UP on iTunes, and I'm not nor do I think many others are excited about her tour compared to others who have already or close to succeeding her sales and performance. And yes it is doing fine, but compare to albums of artists not usually as successful as her, and then tell me it's doing fine.

don´t be quick to doom it!!.....i´m tired to death by this hatred and people call b2b flop, the album doesn´t get more bad only due to fading sales...moronic!
But why people here call her things like "****ina", "shittina" etc. is beyond my understanding!!!...she isn´t the one flashing her crotch , doing coke, or pay 10 million $ to some star starproducer making an album with 5 hit singles and don´t care about some creativity. (this is of course not only for britney, cause i´m not an ignorant hater!)
I´ts of course totally free to don´t like the album, but accusing her for **** and all this hatred here, i don´t get it? why?

It wasnīt pointed to you....just to the obvious haters here...i have nothing against people who just donīt like the album or donīt dig her music....but call her things like ****ina and stuff like that, is really low and so not deserved....and i also think, even if one donīt like the music, she deserve some credit for going her way and be creative in her own music and taking risks....+ iīm a sucker for her voice and singing
....is that so bad?
