omg janet is gonna sound so amazing with brazilian/bossa nova sound im so excited! i'm glad she's finally doing exactly what she wants to do she's free.
I ripped All For Jesus with Lossless quality and heard it on high end speakers yesterday. Few considerations:
Truly one of her best albums. I'm starting to take this over Control. Like on her two previous albums, she REALLY set a mood. I found Trust A Try out of place and kind of heavy to listen, if y'all know what I mean... But it's one of her most inovative songs, let me not complain... (Actually I'm just saying this before someone throws a stone on my forehead)
Listening the dirty version after so much time (I tend to resort to Spotify) gave me so much life. "stupid bitch", "when you're ****ing me", "greedy mother****ers", "old **** behind"... YES JANET, curse girl! And Would You Mind... I used to despise it but yesterday it made me wish for someone taking off the scarce clothing I had on... (it didn't change my mind about that horrible live performance....)
Feels So Right is the filler track. However it should have been the single instead of Son Of A Gun.
I had never payed close attention to the bass line on the title track, it's so weird when it's banging! Now I guess I see the point of Equalizers...
The sexy streak is flawless. She was ambitious and pulled it off flawlessly.
Let me just restate that Truth is one of her best songs. If you disagree, truth will set you free, bye.
1. "Rhythm Nation" - organization, organization, organization;
2. "Miss You Much" - the use of storytelling thru dance; the technical aspect of the routine >
3. "If" - technicality meets creativity
4. "The Pleasure Principle" - a choreographed routine that looks like a freestyle; Janet owns every move
5. "Rock With U" - creativity, the incorporation of Old Way Vogue into a contemporary routine
We can agree on If and Pleasure Principle! (Miss You Much is cool but Escapade is better, for example. Maybe if we include the Chair Routine into account...)
I'd mention "I Get Lonely", "All Nite/R&B Junkie", and "You Ain't Right". This last one is an easy example for why Janet is/was the best dancer out there. The break on "You Want This" is too sexy! Too short, though.
What the **** is she saying in the beginning of "who"? Ive been trying to figure this out for some time...as if the song isnt hard enough to understand
