Does anyone get the feeling she doesn't particularly care if the singles do well?
I mean, I know it kind of sounds like laziness, but I really don't mind as long as she makes amazing videos for them. In their most literal form, singles only exist to promote the album. Judging from the immediate #1 status of the album off of pre-orders alone on iTunes, I feel like selling the album doesn't seem like it will be an issue, hence the lack of single promo.
I also feel like she's just at that point in her career where getting a #1 record or whatever just isn't the goal now. Obviously she wants it do well, but as long as her fans enjoy the music I really don't think she cares. I feel like her career is past the stage where she needs to be out there fighting Rihanna, Gaga, and Katy for a #1.

That's why I could care less about how successful her singles will be, my only concern is the music itself now.
