So, I've been ill for two days now and I've basically done nothing but watch Charmed. I'm now on Season 8, episode 4 - Desperate Housewitches
I have to try and get this finished before New Year's Day as that's when it'll be taken off Netflix UK.
Also, season 7 was supposed to be the last season right? What made them do another season if they knew there would be heavy budget cuts and the shows quality would have been affected due to this.
The only reason I'm glad they brought it back for another season is the finale episode, it's great and the ending is literally perfect. The ending for Season 7 was a bit anti-climatic and wasn't heart tugging like S8 ending.

Well yes many people thought th S7 ending would have been ideal
But the truth is, the more material a series gives to it's consumers, the better. I also agree that the finale was very well-done in the end.
They did a season 8 because The WB was transitioning into The CW and they needed established shows to bring their old audience to a new channel;/network. The girls were bashing it in one of their season 8 interviews.
Still one more season then some other shows got
As for the season 7 finale, I really liked it; I even have it as my avi. The only thing I could've done without was the pig scene.
I think they went back to basics and really focused on the sisters and magic (no Leo, no Avatars, no BS) while incorporating new aspects of Charmed like the magical community and magic school. I remember there was a scene where they were discussing ways they could stop Zankou and they were reflecting on their battle plans from previous seasons.. It was really an ode to season 1 and its grittiness I mean the episode is titled 'Something Wicca This Way Goes'
Am I the only one who would rather have a complete reboot, instead of a continuation?
I mean, Charmed is still my fav show, but they should leave it in the past.
Can you imagine a new Charmed with a bigger budget, better CGI, no plotholes/incontinuity, more diversity, more mature, more nudity, etc.
I also want them to be (half)black this time. I say half because I still want them to be descendants from Salem witches. Their father can be black tho.

I kinda want a continuation that turns into a reboot like when the angel of destiny came to take away their destiny as charmed ones, that could mean they could give it to someone else.
SCREAMING @ half black I have a feeling most charmed fans inner racist tendencies will come out. But a black/white forbidden love mess from Salem would be cute
Okay, finally up to the bit where they have found Christy. Now, Billie has decided to join her (I liked Billie until this). I always forget how annoying Billie becomes once she makes this stupid decision, when clearly her sister is deranged and not stable.
I've just realised how rushed the second half of the season is, because Henry and Paige only know each other for about 9 episodes and then suddenly they get married They make a great couple though... Henry's lips Then Coop and Phoebe only know each other for about 6 episodes but stay together forever
Lordt, I can't wait for them to vanquish Christy. Shame they couldn't do the same to Billie.

Now I want it even more, Daryl can be white tho idc.
The decline of this show is astounding.
Literally no show has ever had such a steep fall from grace.
Season 1-3 were the best seasons. Season 4 was pretty good as well. The rest is awful. It's like a parody of itself. The show was moving in the right direction at first (going darker) and then suddenly it all became a joke. Saving innocents was seen as a bad thing, and the charmed ones would just sit and complain all the time. Piper became the biggest bitch ever. Phoebe became self absorbed, and just an awful person. Paige was the only decent one, until of course she as well was ruined.
Also I'll never forgive charmed for how they ruined my fave character Cole. The fact that Phoebe just killed him, despite him wanting to redeem himself is so ****ing dumb. He was under the influence of the source. It's like wanting to kill of the charmed ones for turning evil via magic every second episode. What a bitch.

Cole was done so wrong in the show. They literally had no idea what to do with his character in season 5 so they decided to kill him off putting an anticlimactic end to a character who deserved better. Why didn't Phoebe get any flack for becoming evil queen of the underworld? I think it is a big honking deal when a Charmed one chooses to side with evil, yet we didn't hear **** from the Elders when this happened. A witch marrying a whitelighter was much more serious to them! By the same logic, she should have been vanquished as well but only Cole was blamed for being evil when in reality he was possessed and at the end of season 4 Phoebe wanted to save him because she owed him. Then out of nowhere Season 5 begins with Phoebe planning to vanquish Cole and blaming him for **** all the time. It is laughable and tragic what the writers did to both characters, but the icing on the cake was when they brought back Cole in season 7 in a filler episode featuring only him and Piper. He said he was there because he didn't want Phoebe, the person who put him through hell literally and vanquished his ass, to lose faith in love. I was so done after that episode. A horrible conclusion to a horribly misused character.
Um am I missing something?! Phoebe was swayed to the evil side by The Seer. She was poisoning her with prenatal tonic. And even before the tonic the baby was influencing her; she admitted to losing control and having no free will anymore.
The Seer was the puppet master behind the whole Evil Phoebe storyline. Had nothing to do with Phoebe or Cole.

I agree with everything tbh.
I can remember preparing myself to be an emotional mess when I finished the series (like I was with Buffy) But I literally jumped into something else straight away.
