I mean, Blown Away has all the attributes to be a great #1 but because people don't usually like country they may just avoid it right away.
I'm hoping though that Blown Away peaks high.. I'd love a Top 10 hit this era.. but I think the highest she'll get is a Top 20 peak.

I have a good feeling about "Blown Away," but there's a real problem.
Carrie's going to have difficulty crossing over (not necessarily to HAC) with any major significance. It's no reflection on the quality of song, her label simply doesn't have the power promote over at Top 40. "Before He Cheats" had the now defunct Arista New York (she was signed to both Arista and Arista Nashville during the "Some Hearts" era) division pushing it along. Any success "Blown Away" has over at Top 40 will need to be largely audience driven, and it needs an official adds date which I highly doubt we'll see. If she were on Big Machine it would be a guaranteed multi-format smash.
And hereby lies the problem. Without gaining a somewhat significant number of spins over at Top 40 she's basically relying on massive digital downloads and streaming to get that top 10 hit.
It could happen, "Blown Away" is a good enough song to smash all on its own and clearly people already like it; it's sold well over 100k in downloads without being released or officially announced as a single yet. But despite the song being ****ing epic, and I think we'll see it in contention for some Grammy Awards next year, it might struggle to reach its full potential on the charts.
