Christina should release throwback albums exclusively when she reaches her mid/late 40s, obviously with a modern day twist, but that is DEFINITELY where she shines most and I think it's the type of music she enjoys most. In terms of image, she's gonna age as well as J.Lo has thanks to her amazing genes and hate for the sun so that will definitely work in her favor because radio won't hold such a bias against her if she looks younger than her age.



Although, this era is probably her last shot at decent commercial success considering how long she takes to create new albums. I'm not expecting much at all, but a top 20 would be amazing at this point. (this is where streaming might work in her favor, Your Body actually did well with streams but it wasn't included in the Billboard formula at the time).

I agree about her doing those types of albums when she's older. There are so many albums that I would love for her to do: blues, acoustic, rock, covers album(must include Jeff Buckley's song Lover, You Should've Come Over, or any song by him for that matter), etc. If she did start her own label, that would mean that she could put out any type of music she wanted, without label interference. That would also mean that she wouldn't have someone pressuring her with a time frame for album releases, and she could possibly go more than 4 years between albums.



I also agree that this album is probably her last shot at some commercial success. I hope she does put in some promo effort this time around.

Are you talking about that Matt video thread where some of her "stans" only cared about how her body looked and her weight? Here we have a video showing Xtina being totally happy, carefree, and playful. We rarely get to see this side of her because she is so private. Yet, all some people care about is her weight, as if she is on some Gabourey Sidibe level. She looks fine.
