If BTW flops then she's not going to fade into obscurity, she'll have numerous chances in future. If it fails it would be a major setback to her career. Thus far GaGa's career has constantly been gaining in momentum, her material has progressed and with time she has become more popular. BTW's challenge is to be able to maintain that momentum.

Even if she flops ever, she won't ever stop making music. It's all she has. If she ever flops in the mainstream, she'll probably go to an indie label and still write music.

How do you know that? Gaga may have peaked album-wise, and partly because of the deflating album sales, but she could substantially boost in popularity from this album

how is that even possible? shes already the biggest "persona" right now in the world right? especially on the internet

EDIT .. the reason why Nicole is saying Gaga is at her peak, is because she is the biggest thing right now.. NO ONE is bigger than her.. its almost impossible to keep up with the status over time.. obviously

That would make sense. I mean I'm thinking early February for a single and waiting til May doesn't seem all that smart to me. Releasing on her b-day would be awesome and totally fit in with the album title. Hopefully you're right!!

:/ You already see it at the Monster Ball, like with Jesus' 20 minute guitar solo. Her at Lollapalooza. You and I performances. Teeth sort of. The fanbase will go with it TO AN EXTENT but if it overpowers the pop then absolutely not.

And I think it will be hard for the rock people to, especially in public. She will be the guiltiest of pleasures in the rock community if she decides to go there

I can't see Gaga going into rock unless she flops. She craves fame, attention, and money, and making pop music will most likely give her that more so than making rock music.
