Honestly, I think it's a thing of maturity. I hate to say that, I really do. But I don't understand supporting someone so far to the left as Bernie and then saying you'd rather vote for Trump (someone who is radically against everything Bernie stands for) over Hillary (someone Bernie has himself even said he would want his supporters to support should he lose the nomination) simply because she's not Bernie. That is nothing but a lack of political maturity. I find it hilarious how Bernie fans combat the stereotype that they are young, uninformed, politically immature voters, but then will say stuff like that.
Disclaimer: I am not saying all Bernie fans are like this. I have plenty of friends that are Bernie supporters and I have plenty of healthy, political conversations with them. But, his extremist fans are the ones I'm referring to.

Took the words right out of my mouth. You can't support someone as far left as Bernie, but decide to support a Cruz/Trump ticket in November because the Democratic nominee wasn't who you wanted. It makes no sense. How do you vote for someone who are completely against EVERYTHING that your preferred candidate stands for? Do Hillary and Bernie have differing views on some issues? Yes, absolutely. However, for the most part, they agree on generally several issues across the board.
Bernie isn't my preference and I have concerns about his capabilities, but I would support him through and through if he turned out to be our nominee. I would pray that he would have an extraordinary VeeP and cabinet team, but that would be my vote. Nothing about a Cruz or Trump presidency appeals to me.
