lol no its because SNSD fanboys buy physical albums while the GP buys the digital singles...its shows a more widespread popularity not just how big they are within their fandom. It doesn't matter how many comebacks an artist has...YG slaying this list because unlike others he focuses on digital sales...I mean Se7en was the first artist to release a song through MelOn. Thats why they are doing better and also with digital sales people get their favorite tracks not a full album which with YG pushing out mini albums or two part albums and having multiple title tracks and videos, makes it easier for him to sell more songs digitally.

Uhm exactly.
YG = Digital sales priority = higher on singles lists
SM = Album priority = higher on albums sales
Except for groups like Big Bang who just slay everything.
But truthfully, it comes down to this, when it comes to KPOP without a certain group within the BIG 3, another group wouldn't be formed. If it wasn't for 2PM, there would be no BIGBANG. If there was no SNSD, there would be no WG or 2NE1 like they are today. Everyone builds and grows off each other in KPOP and tries to have their own color or flavour which makes it so much more refreshing compared to western music. Its the reason I loved KPOP because no group was trying to be the other when you focus on the BIG 3. So everyone who made that list is special and awesome and I'm thankful for all the KPOP groups focused and created with originality and fresh colour.

Uhhh...no. BigBang was formed before 2PM, this makes no sense. And 2NE1 was formed as the female BigBang not SNSD by the help of no other the Legend Dragon
KEYWORD: LIKE THEY ARE TODAY!! I'm saying without the competition, they would not have the urge and inspiration to work as hard or the sound they have today.
What exactly are they considering a hit song, though? It seems awfully vague.

Then what is your point about SNSD? When they give a song single treatment, it goes to number 1. And they always get an album track or 2 in the top 10.
Dancing Queen was literally dragged up from the graveyard and went number 1.
