But Brit was selling 3x as many more albums. I don't think what you said is a good "excuse".
I'm not saying that BTW era flopped either. It did well...just that a single charting poorly back then is way different than a single charting badly today. the music industry today is single-dominated compared to back then.

You're kinda contradicting yourself. Britney was selling 3x as many albums because album sales were higher then I mean the drop from Sasha Fierce to 4 was much greater then TF(M) to BTW but you don't see the Beyhive doubting Bey's success next era
