I don't remember the last time a sitting president that was ineligible to run campaigned for his party's nominee.

Obviously this is the first for Obama, the last one was Bush and Bush did not campaign for McCain at the advice of McCain. And I was was too young to know anything about if Bill Clinton tried it in 2012

Reagan didn't help campaign for Bush because his health was already rapidly deteriorating.. Eisenhower didn't really campaign for Nixon either. FDR and JFK died before they could do anything. Gore pushed Clinton away despite having high favorables. Both Bushes, Carter, Ford, LBJ, Nixon, Truman all had bad favorables going out of office. This is going to be something we haven't seen in possibly 100 years. I'm excited.

OMG! That's so exciting. I CANNOT WAIT.

I wish my state wasn't blue, or one of most progressive states in the country because whoever wins has it on lock here and they probably don't want to waste money campaigning here. But still.

If Trump wasn't such an ass he could've had Paul Ryan, Mitt Romney, and all three Bushes campaigning for him. Could've easily helped consolidate the party.
