Format Updates:
CHR/Pop
- Hoobastank is still #1, but JoJo is less than 300 spins away from the top. She will take it by next week and will claim the title of the biggest surprise #1 of 2004 thus far.
- Their is a HUGE overload of bullets in the #10 to #19 area. Huge gainers include Ashlee Simpson, Kevin Lyttle, Usher, and Nina Sky. It will be difficult to hit the top 10 this summer.
- Avril Lavigne and Maroon 5 are the greatest gainers and are sitting just inside the top 30 with over 1900 spins.
CHR/Rhythmic
- Juvenile is #1 with a monster +550 bullet and is over 1600 spins over the next bulleted song at #3
- Llyod Banks, Houston, Ying Yang Twins, Lil'Flip, and Nina Sky all continue to hold solid +400 and even +500 bullets as they ride steady success into the top 10
- Terror Squad and Ciara have cracked +700 and are very close to the top 10
- For the future, look out for Petey Pablo and LL Cool J's new tracks who are already creating serious noise outside the top 40
Country
- Tim McGraw has finally taken #1 after a steady rise to the top.
- Kenny Chesney is not too far behind as "I Go Back" has a strong bullet at #3.
- Reba McEntire is holding the greatest gainer honours with a solid +412 at #8
- Gretchen Wilson and Alan Jackson are struggling to hit the top 20 and are stuck right outside in the #22 area.
Hot AC
- Hoobastank is #1 without a bullet
- Switchfoot hold the greatest gainer honours with "Meant To Live" with Counting Crows, Los Lonely Boys, and Train close behind
Alternative
- Velvet Revolver is still #1 but have lost their bullet. Modest Mouse and Incubus are very close behind but have minimal bullets just over a weak +20
- 3 Days Grace or Linkin Park look to be the heir to the #1 throne as 3DG hit #5 and LP hit #9 with solid +160 bullets. Dashboard and Franz Ferdinand are also in top 5 contention
- Greatest gainer honours go to Jet with "Rollover DJ" which is +216 at #34 and Yellowcard with "Only Once" at #162 just outside the top 30.
- 311, The Killers, Shinedown, SOTY, Slipknot, and B182 are all struggling to crack the top 15.
