The Rolling Stones put Cosmic Explorer in their 20 best pop albums of 2016

Not sure how I feel about it since I'm happy they are on the list among all these westren artists but the album wasn't that good imo

Imagine being one of these bandwagon Perfume loving westerners who know of literally no other j-pop group except for Perfume so they automatically put them on every year end list.



Cosmic Explorer is their worst album yet and it deserves nothing.

Not many groups release their best work a decade and a half into their career, but Cosmic Explorer – the year's most expansive and infectious J-Pop album – is Perfume's high point to date.

ravex was an amazing project and trax is such a masterpiece. NEW ECCENTRIC GIRL will always be one of my favorite songs ever, I miss Chisa's voice so much. I'd love trax 2, seriously.

exactly I didn't mention it but NEW ECCENTRIC GIRL is my favorite song from that album. I just don't listen to V.I.P.P. because VERBAL literally TALKS in that song it's not even a rap.

what's Chisa up to these days? do GIRL NEXT DOOR still exists?

trax is a very important album for me, I truly love it and I also have a physical copy of it

NEW ECCENTRIC GIRL is simply the best track of the album, truly the standout song, experimental and incredibly catchy at the same time

GIRL NEXT DOOR disbanded and Chisa got married to a swimmer. I wish she'd release some new music, cause I truly love her voice. GIRL NEXT DOOR used to be my favorite group back in the day. Their debut album is in my Top 5 of favorite albums of all time, truly J-Pop at its finest. Also, their music was fantastic from their debut until Ready to be a lady (which remains one of the best J-Pop songs EVER) imo.

Perfume will release their new single "TOKYO GIRL" on February 15!


"TOKYO GIRL" will be used as the theme song for NTV's upcoming drama series 'Tokyo Tarareba Musume' premiering January 18.

The single will also include "Houseki no Ame," which is the campaign CM song for Sunstar Ora2.

Cosmic Explorer sure as hell isn't Perfume best album (Game and Level 3 takes that place).
But you know what a win is a win.

I'm not too sure on Tokyo Girl yet, it could turn out as good as Ijiwaru na Hello or as boring as Hold Your Hand.
