I was listening to the New York Times "Popcast" today where they discussed Carly and the album at length and one of the two commentators seemed to think the purpose was to generate hype for the album among tastemakers and music writers.
Personally I just think they were banking on Run Away With Me becoming a hit here. And, well,
They would have to put the same amount of effort they put in with I Really Like You into Run Away With Me. Critical acclaim don't mean much when it comes to no radio spins and a lackluster video. Scooter has tons of money and influence too. Shame how he only uses it for Bieberlord.

Their romance is on the DL. They have to wait for the media to accept this new bad girl angle Ariana has and they have to give the public more time to accept this wholesome new image for Bieber.

Iggy is still very popular in todays culture. Loved+adored by many for her attitude and rap music.
And she is terrible live, record sales is all she has.
