(Aug. 7) - In her letter from the editor in the upcoming issue of Allure, editor-in-chief Linda Wells recounts her magazine's bizarre experience with Britney Spears.
"I thought we could present the profile as her comeback," writes Wells, according to The Sun.
"Britney showed up for Allure's cover shoot on time and ready to work. She was entirely unselfconscious: She took off her wig and then stripped down to the waist, for no apparent reason, before sitting for hair and makeup."
Despite the impromptu strip show, Wells says that Spears was "agreeable and cooperative," during the shoot, but "that was the last we saw of her ... she missed four appointments for an interview."
Unable to speak with the singer about her "comeback," Allure instead will feature Spears in a cover piece on "the nature of celebrity."
On July 19, OK! had Spears in to take photos to accompany their feature on the singer. What transpired was "definitely the most bizarre shoot I've ever been on," editor-in-chief Sarah Ivens told the Associated Press.
During the shoot, Spears allegedly used a designer dress as "a napkin" to wipe grease off her hands and sat idly by as her dog defecated on a $6,700 designer gown, all the while complaining that the clothes weren't high-end or sexy enough.
Three hours later, she left with more than $14,000 worth of clothes.
Britney is going to be dead in a year if she doesn't get off the drugs and booze. The only question is who will be dead first...Britney or Lindsay Lohan. I feel so bad for Britney's kids.
...she was robbed from other nods, but w/e, she didn´t really have the hits this year so it´s expected...hope she attends and shows her preggy booty!
