She doesn't need to grow. Each of her last three albums were (are) fantastic...like her whole discography.
I'm Not Dead was about growth and relevance.
Funhouse was about heartbreak (and drinking!)
Greatest Hits was about...her greatest songs.
It seems pretty premature to judge a full album based on just one song. Not to mention the fact that artists seldom develop any more. If they are good at what they do, why be expected to change? I mean, this song still holds some progression sound wise, so it isn't like she is stagnant, afterall.
