The host entries are usually horrible. But we also had some great ones, like Estonia 2002, Serbia 2008 and Azerbaijan 2012

hajde da ludujemo is a classic in ex-yu, while rock me isn't that much lol.

i guess great artists tend not to enter in years when their country hosts cause it's hard to win twice in a year, so we are often left with worse songs.

but it also makes the voting so exciting if the host country ends up being second like norway 96 or uk 98.

I'm here for a voting like in 2005 or 2011 with 7-8 contenders until half of the voting next year, knowing the winner since the beginning is boring

2015 voting was a bit exciting though......first it was russia, then italy and then sweden.....

it's just hard with so many countries

The 2012 voting would've been much more exciting with the 100% televote thing (Sweden ahead of Russia by 11 points). And it would've been even more excited if Sweden performed 6th and Russia 17th
