Also, many pop girls have had peaks bigger than Britney Spears.
Billboard All-Time 200 Albums:
1. 21, Adele
4. Fearless, Taylor Swift
7. Jagged Little Pill, Alanas Morissette
11. Whitney Houston, Whitney Houston
12. The Fame. Lady Gaga

The era adjusted sales thing are imaginary sales that don't even exist, just because the industry is the pits currently doesn't mean Adele would be selling 7 million copies of her album in the first week in 1999/2000. It still doesn't matter, nobody that has debuted post Britney has been able to sell as many albums as her, so that Billboard 200 chart is more representative of weeks at #1 than actual copies sold. After all, a #1 peak position can mean anything. Sia's album went #1 with 50,000 copies sold in 2014... At the end of the day, tt's the coins that someone brings in based off their SALES that actually matters.
And it's a lot more than just sales. Brit's cultural impact and her BRAND was huge. Her makeup, clothing, dolls, freaking toothbrushes, media presence was inescapable.
I'm not even a Britney stan and I don't know why I feel the need to keep this argument going, but it's 1:34 AM, I'm not tired, and it's kind of funny to see someone take THIS much time out of their day to write multiple hateful paragraphs about a multi-millionaire, super successful celebrity who will be remembered 100 years from now as one of the most iconic entertainers in music history.
