While it's not better than those two, H.A.T.E.U. is one of Mariah's best ballads.

It's just gorgeous. You can tell she was feeling the **** out of that song when she recorded it because you can feel every word.

Exactly...Mariah made it with "Loving you" in mind. No major articles picked up on the fact that there were so many levels of parallelisms between "Loving you" and HATE U. The music box-sounding piano she used in HATE U is similar to Loving you. HATE U was really a masterful reworking of that minnie song.
