Is this why she created that fake persona so that she could smash and get the money yet fans wouldn't call her a sellout after that album with Dr Luke?
First of all "that album with Dr. Luke" has a total of 3 tracks produced by Dr. Luke one of which "Lies" isn't even generic and one of the best songs Luke touched in years.
She has said multiple times she wanted to dive into pop and the commercial succes that comes with it but she felt weird about leaving her indie roots so she went on to create this persona and even though the whole thing was whacky in execution multiple times it was still more interesting and ambitious than the stuff other pop stars delivered.
And lastly none of this has anything to do with it because she was still the main writer on every song on EH and the album as a whole is nowhere near generic just at certain points and never lyrically
Madonna's Howard Stern interview wasn't as interesting as I thought it would be.
She was so shy of the relationship questions. He was right about Truth or Dare being the beginning of reality tv though.
If this was 90s Howard and Madonna, that interview would have ended in a fistfight.
The first Gags interview is still his best popgirl interview.
