Ok I'm so disgusted by some people in this thread and generally on ATRL.
I'm a very optimistic person and I always try to focus on positivity.
Are those opening numbers underwhelming? Of course! Will it end her career? No.
It just proves that she declined and she has to work her way up again. I don't know how this can be bad though? It will hopefully lead to better performances and interviews and more promo. Just imagine her slaying effortlessly? It would not be challenging.
When I signed up for my stan card I didn't do it because she looked good in the Poker Face video or whatever. I got my stan card the first time I saw her LIVE and I just knew she was something special.
If you want good looks go to other pop girls that are too afraid to even go a little dark cause it could harm their sales. Stop dragging BTW too. Was it smart at that point? NO! But let me tell you what it was: BRAVE. Gaga was and never will cater just to the GP. She is a little monster herself!
The public just is very shallow at the moment and rather consumes mass products. Gaga has realized that and is swimming against the storm. The question is will you follow her or trip over and just become a mass product yourself?
I think the answer is clear by monsters jumping ship and letting others drag her. I will not focus on negativity but on what is most important to me: The music. I still love the album and I can't at some of you dragging the album now and wanting another album next year. If she'd sell 700k you'd all be how amazing the album is and that it needs 8 singles. Oh please!
The funny thing in all of this? Look at her current NY pics, she looks happy! She doesn't seem to be bothered by the sales. She also said in the awesome Howard Stern interview she doesn't need fans to defend her. So just try to enjoy the ride.
Didn't Applause's longevity teach you anything? The GP isn't here for Gaga instantly. It will take them some time to love her again. Don't you think Gaga knew she would get dragged for the name ARTPOP alone?

It's cute to make some jokes about it all but some people in here (I refuse to even call them monsters anymore) just stanned because she was No.1 and the hot girl at that moment. Well that's over now. And to be honest thank god. Some of us just needed that lesson. Hopefully we all will learn to live with love, acceptance and positivity. It is what I believe in.
I just love the music, not the bling.
