Today, butterfly notwithstanding, is the day Carey's 'Rainbow' has come into view. 'Rainbow' (which follows on from other singularly-titled albums 'Emotions,' 'Daydream,' and 'Butterfly') will eclipse so many of your Mariah-related musical preconceptions because it's better than anything she's done before.
Honestly, there has been so many, 'This is the new her,' and I'm like, 'OK, show me the new her. Can she come and work for me and be my double?' And I'm not particular talking about this girl Leona, because I only heard her once and I didn't really hear a true similarity, particularly in the style of music.
It is what it is and critics have compared me to so many people who are not really singers, and they're certainly not writers.

Subtle Invitation is another overrated mumble mess
With the instruments at the beginning you have hope for a catchy Charmbracelet song, and then the whispering falls right back in. Especially with the chorus.

I'm fine with Yours and My Saving Grace. Yours is my top from Charmbracelet, and My Saving Grace actually feels like it has sense of pace.
Although now that I think about it, it does make a lot of sense.
