I wouldn't mind Gaga pulling a Rihanna and releasing an album yearly tbh. I'm so over this wait for new music I should fauxstan for some lesser.
In all honesty, I would rather Gaga didn't release material for two years (or more) and the material be legendary, than doing a Rihanna every 12 months and releasing same-old same-old, stuff that won't really be remembered.

And if she releases song after song after song, then she will lose her magic and spark with her fans. Because we all know Gaga is the Queen of Anticipation. No other fanbase can have the same excitement as we do when it comes to waiting for Gaga's work to come out
I don't think Gaga could cope with an album per year.
It's easy for Rihanna because her label sources all the material whilst she's busy promoting the last album. She puts in a few weeks vocal work and it's done. On to the next.
Gaga writes the music and is heavily involved throughout the process, so she simply wouldn't have enough time to work on the next album as well as being so involved with the promotion of the last (videos, performances, promo) and touring. Something would have to give.
She's always writing so there COULD be an album per year, but the quality would drop. Even the best songwriters don't strike gold every time. We probably only hear 1/3 of what she writes, and without the extra time to develop/cut weaker tracks we'd just get landed with them to fill out an LP to excuse some new hits.
However, I do think regular EP's may be more appropriate for the pop industry of tomorrow.

It's... More desirable than what I see happening to the industry, becoming a singles-only market.
