It's not even the Democrats that need help. Because guess what? A lot don't even agree with him. He needs to upend the entire ****ing legislative branch of the federal government and get independents or very liberal Democrats who agree with him. Hint there's a reason he's only been a Democrat since November, and it's not because he just doesn't like labels.

Don't even try it with Obama though. He is STILL raising money for DNC. Truth is, with him in office the Tea Party grew tremendously due to fearmongering and other Bither ********, which is why we have more of those fools in Senate and the House than ever. Some are even Governors.

You can't blame Obama for the GOP voters being motivated as hell and the DEMs only showing up for the big election.

Secondly, DNC needs to get their **** together and start presenting good candidates that are able to win.

Hillary literally had 49.5% of the pledged delegates, and more popular votes than Obama. She had every right to take it to the convention if she wanted to, but she still didn't. For the sake of comparison, the beloved Ted Kennedy took his nomination fight all the way to the convention against Jimmy Carter, and refused to campaign for Carter, and he had something like 15% of the delegates?

I disagree

Don't think he'll win but what he's doing is helping the party somewhat with enthusiasm and getting young liberals in it. Now what I think he should do is stop burning bridges with people on his side and casting himself off like a lone warrior and actually realize that if he were to pull off the upset and win the nomination/GE then he needs democratic support. You reap what you sow and he hasn't sown anything yet

To be fair, Hillary's margin of loss in 2008's popular vote was ridiculously narrow. She only had about a hundred less pledged delegates (and never had a majority of supers, unlike now). She dropped out within 4 days of him becoming the presumptive nominee, which didn't even happen until June 3rd.

If Bernie is to be the Hillary of this primary, in terms of delegate count and drawing out the race, it would be normal for him to wait just as long.

This is the issue... And why I don't see him getting the nomination. The democratic party flat out doesn't like him that much and they have every reason to: he only recently became an official democrat so he was eligible in the primaries, he has threatened to sue the DNC, and has spoken against them and labeled them as corrupt throughout this campaign. Whether you agree with his views on the DNC or not, politics is all about building bridges and connections with other people because you can't accomplish anything alone. Bernie is alienating himself and that will hurt him massively even if he were elected because he would have to do massive damage repair to get support from democrats, let alone republicans.

One minor correction: he DID sue the DNC, and the suit is still open and although he's no longer pursuing it he's intentionally leaving it hanging over the DNC's head in case they irritate him any other way.

So even worse than I thought... Not to be rude to Sanders, but he's an awful politician. You have to compromise and cooperate well with others... He's kind of threatening and "the establishment" will hate him for it. You can't spearhead the destruction of a system by being the face of it. If Bernie's elected, he won't be able to break up the system he says he loathes. I just have issues with trusting him with the role of president. Ironically, I find him to be very untrustworthy (for that position at least).

I doubt it. The one thing I admire most about Sanders is his tenacity. He's not going to give up until he's actually out of the running.

Right now Super Tuesday looks to be around 541 to 335 pledged, or 637 to 337 total. That's not enough to deter him.

At this point, Hillary might not become the presumptive nominee until as late as May 17th with Kentucky, and no earlier than April 19th with New York.
