I don't think she can hear herself during that performance, she keeps playing with her earpiece and at one point appears to signal someone that she's having issues.
She'll have plenty of opportunities to practice anyway.
Yeah she fiddles with her ear does some crazy hand signals to her guitarist or someone! I am totally sure she will be flawless upon the LHC Tour we must remember she only recently had rather bad vocal cord damage too.

But I was just wondering what everyone's reactions were to Marina when they first heard of her? Was it instant love? Or did it take time?
I only ask because I see a lot of posts on Tumblr from people saying they initially dismissed her and then when they actually learnt more about her and listened to more of her songs they fell in love with her.
For me I remember reading that she'd come 2nd on the BBC sound poll and then saw her being interviewed on MTV and thought wow she's beyond stunning, she looks like one of those popular bitches from a US high school (she was probably wearing a cheerleading outfit at the time) but not a cutesy blonde bitch who'll slag off your outfit but a vindictive bitch who'll steal your boyfriend for ***** and giggles. Then I saw the Hollywood video for the first time, which in my mind confirmed the stunning troll bitch hypothesis, and then I thought "wow she has a man's voice, I suppose you can't have it all"! I think it was the 2nd time I saw the video, when before I could switch over I heard the line "I'm obsessed with the mess that's America" and I was "I actually am obsessed with the mess that's America" and so listened to whole song and completely fell for her. After a little research I discovered that Marina was me but as a popstar and TFJ was my life.
I can't believe how wrong I almost was.
omg the man's voice bit!
It was...October 2009 when I was a big La Roux stan (ok i still am but they've not done anything new for AGES so I'm lying dormant and stalking their tweets...) and the NME.com posted the Mowgli's Road video. I'd heard her name crop up a couple of times before but I'd never actually heard any of her music so thought I'd check to see what the fuss was about. I absolutely loved the song, her voice and just everything about it like nothing I'd really heard before. Also I loved the video just because it was a bit strange, I immediately went to listen to her past releases, so Obsessions, The Crown Jewels EP, can't remember if I'd found the Mermaid vs Sailor around then. I was still majorly a La Roux fan so Marina was more a side interest at that point. Even so what struck me was how much I connected with the songs I'd heard on an emotional level, I really felt I knew where she was coming from.
What really sold me was when I saw her live though, February 2010 in this tiny (and a bit scabby) venue the week before the album release. Someone I was friends with at the time randomly found this gig and asked if I'd wanted to go as it was quite cheap, we managed to get right to the front, and her performance blew me away. She had such an enchanting aura about her and her voice was fantastic. She randomly took my hand during Shampain, the only one, my friends were jealous and I almost died Marina has such an infectious smile!
Here's a video I took of Mowgli's Road at the time, it's not the best quality but the sound is pretty good. That light on her face was such a pain in the bum though, couldn't get many good photos

On another note are there any Greek Diamonds here? How has she been received in Greece?
It all started when I was watching this chart video someone made (a fan-made chart with music videos and such). While I was watching, I came across her song "Oh No!". I fell in love with the song immediately and looked it up. I downloaded it after a few listens and played it out. Never looked at any other songs from her for a while. Then on ATRL I found out that she was releasing another album. I listened to a couple songs (Primadonna and Fear and Loathing) that I enjoyed. I checked out Homewrecker. Then Bubblegum Bitch. Then Teen Idle. After that, I downloaded the album (for free ) and now I am a Diamond. <3
I first found out about Marina because this guy I follow on tumblr is obsessed with her and always posted about her. He posted that paper with the tracklisting of Electra Heart on it and something about the song titles caught my eye. So I listened to Homewrecker and absolutely LOATHED her voice. I also thought it was manly and I hated the song. Two months later, I heard Primadonna and realized that her voice was actually really good. I bought the Family Jewels and instantly fell in love
Does anyone have any clue who this person is!? -> http://givemethemoney.tumblr.com/
They appear to be in the process of leaking old rare demos.
Though all we have so far is a snippet of The Common Cold and some teaser images.
First time I heard Marina was from my British penpal, Hamilton nearly two years ago I believe :P He suggested "I Am Not a Robot" to me, so I YouTubed it. This was right around the time I was still super-duper into Florence and the Machine, so having such a simple song, with terse piano keys seemed empty to me. I didn't even make it all the way through the song before saying I didn't like it.
The second time was the beginning of this school year where my friend Lola suggested her. I was like "Oh! I've heard of her, I didn't really care for her sound" to which she said something like "Are you ****ing stupid?" So I went home, went to her youtube page, and listened to the demo of "Starring Role." Instant love -- I had to have the song! It was then that I realized that was on her soon to be released second album...and so I waited. In the mean time I tracked down her first CD, listened to it, loved it, and played Mowgli's Road / Oh No! / The Outsider until Electra Heart came out. xD
marina's first album definitely has an acquired taste
it took me a few days of listening to her album before i decided i liked it (a lot)
electra heart is much easier to dive into and love instantly
I found out about Marina from some British show... might have been Big Brother actually. They played the chorus of Oh No! and I really liked it, so I looked it up and loved the song. I remember the video being good too, but back then I never really looked into videos.
Then later I finally decided to look up more from her after whoring out Oh No! so I looked up Hollywood (which is definitely the video where she looks the hottest). Then Hollywood acoustic, then Mowgli's Road... then the whole thing.

ooooh great catch! I'd love to hear more of the rejected Electra Heart tracks, I wish she'd put them as single b-sides instead of loads of remixes but I suppose it's probably more down to the label
