And omg, I mixed up the dates for a midterm and missed the test. There are no retakes or amnesty of any kind. ![deadbanana2](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/korn0818/ATRL_Smilies_All/bananas/deadbanana_zps933fcf47.gif) Assuming I get a perfect score on everything in the class from now until the end of the semester the best I can get is a B. What a disaster.
Luckily it's a one-credit, online, nobody-will-really-care-about-this kind of thing, but still... ![rip](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/korn0818/ATRLSmilies/rip_zpsec10ede9.gif)

oh my god i am so tired of school. i keep screwing up and i feel like my GPA is gonna be terrible this semester. i just want to stop being stressed all the time :/
seriously, for all of the younger people in this thread: college can be really fun and rewarding, but you have to be ready for an intense workload that just keeps getting progressively harder as you get through. it's not easy or always fun. there are probably classes you're going to have a lot of trouble with and it's going to be really frustrating and upsetting, and you might still get a bad grade in that class no matter how much work you put in. get the right work habits now. it makes things way less difficult.
i'm sorry if that makes it sound scary because college legitimately has made my life better, but there are certain realities you have to face and accept before you get in.

this is completely true, by the way. i've said this before, but you have to know: there's no shame in going to a less "special" school. if you work hard and in the right way and take the opportunities given to you, most schools can get you where you need to go.
and an internship goes a long way, and a large number of schools offer plenty of them. take that opportunity and you're on your way already.

Calculus is the ****ing worst, do NOT ever take college level Calculus if you want a social life and a decent GPA. My professor is a condescending, ineffective piece of ****.
This semester needs to end NOW.

I swear you said you were an Econ major, right? I am too, wasn't even a requirement for my dumb ass, but I still took it to impress my prospective transfer college with a 'hard math!' course. Now that it's sh.tting all over my GPA, my chances for transferring are shot.

Which Calc? I'm taking Calc II and the Lord blessed me with my professor. His generous old soul let's us use 1 note card in the tests and the final, I haven't had to memorize a damn thing ![JonnyϟLightning](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/korn0818/ATRL_Smilies_All/atrlers/jonny_zpsc73391c5.png)

Yes I'm an Econ major. It is required for me to take intermediate theory courses. Which I'm in right now, I HATE my Micro Theory class. And damn, I hope you can improve your grade so you can transfer.

I am thanking tha LORD Northwestern doesn't require midterm grades for transferring bc I have a C in Stats right now ![deadbanana2](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/korn0818/ATRL_Smilies_All/bananas/deadbanana_zps933fcf47.gif) if I don't get out right now I don't think I'll be able to transfer to any school I want ever, I really screwed myself getting a BC in a non-required 5 credit Chemistry course ![Ace Reject](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/korn0818/c74c86fd.gif)

Right now I have a solid B in calcuseless. I want to transfer to Boston College or Tufts. I need to at least maintain my 3.7 but this final will ruin everything. ![cries](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/korn0818/ATRLSmilies/45ab1e3e.gif)

I had Calc 2 last semester along with my Chem class... I'm glad I had the sense to drop it after the second week because I would probably not even get accepted to my current college with that GPA ![rip](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/korn0818/ATRLSmilies/rip_zpsec10ede9.gif)

How did you survive Calc 1? I'm so angry. Like, why am I so untalented in the subjects that make the most money?
-
Deuces, what do you want to do with your Econ degree? There are so many options... research, finance, consulting, mba, law school.
I want my MBA from a top 10, eventually. Honestly, I just want to make as much $ as possible.

girl IKR
I got As in every math class I ever took until I took Calc. I guess I should have opted to take it in HS to better prepare myself.

lmfao this is so true. if you managed to keep up high grades in HS with poor study habits, college will lash you (that's my story ![rip](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/korn0818/ATRLSmilies/rip_zpsec10ede9.gif) ). time management and routine is everything.

They let you take it without the high school prereq? That's odd.
In my university, you'd have to take a math review course which costs $500 if you didn't take math in hs and want to take it in uni.

I took precalc in HS so thinking on it now, I guess it wasn't really the material itself that hindered my success in that course. Mainly poor study habits, not attending class regularly, etc.
