Me:Sailor Moon is here to host the countdown, but we'll just call her Serena. She has the videos ready to go. Do not forget that the 100 Greatest DRL Females Of All-Time is this Saturday. The reason we are doing the 2/14 show now is that I will do a special top 20 most romantic songs ever. Don't worry because it will not be anything like Greg T's creative cupid countdown.
Serena:This is Serena here and I'm ready to give you what you need. Last time, Ashanti spent her 51st day at #1. Can she keep it up or will Amerie retire at #1? We will get to that, but now it's time for our first of three entries that weren't on yesterday. Paulina Rubio has been cooking lately with The One You Love. Her latest Sexual Lover is now back in the race at #25.
25. Paulina Rubio "Sexual Lover" (2, 25)RETURN
24. Jay-Z "Excuse Me Miss" (1, 24)HOT SHOT DEBUT
Serena:Moon powers are not in Jay-Z's future. Today, he debuts at #24 with Excuse Me Miss prior to debuting at #1 last time with Bonnie & Clyde. Shifting gears to a commercial song is #23.
23. Mya & Common "Real Compared To What" (28, 7)-1 *Retires In 2 Days*
22. Jennifer Lopez "Loving You" (37, 4)-1
21. The Donnas "Take It Off" (47, 1@1)+4 *Retires In 3 Days*
Serena:Those were Jennifer Lopez's non-single at #22 and The Donnas spawning to #21. Coming up next we have videos from Kelly Rowland, DMX, All-American Rejects, Good Charlotte and Ashanti. Don't go away!
*break*
Serena on't move. We are back. This seems to be a problem for Kelly Rowland who not only cleaned house but gets picked apart. Down 8 to #20 is "Can't Nobody".
20. Kelly Rowland "Can't Nobody" (7, 12)-8
19. DMX "X Gonna Give It To Ya" (15, 3)+
18. The All-American Rejects "Swing Swing" (15, 4)+
17. Good Charlotte "The Anthem" (40, 2@1)-
Serena MX, AAR & GC hold still. At #16 is Ashanti with those Movies of hers.
16. Ashanti "Movies" (25, 3@1)-2
15. Ashanti "Baby Remix" (37, 6@1)+
14. Stacie Orrico "Stuck" (5, 14)+2
Serena:Stacie Orrico continues to make noise. Up 2 to #14 is Stuck. Before that was Ashanti with Baby Remix at #15. Pulling in a #13 is Paulina Rubio falling.
13. Paulina Rubio "The One You Love" (40, 1@1)-4
12. Christina Aguilera "Infatuation" (7, 12)+1
11. Simple Plan "Addicted" (3, 11)-
Serena:Simple Plan lost their bullet just like that. *poof* Before that was Christina A. moving in to #12. The murder team is #10.
10. Ja Rule Featuring Ashanti "Mesmerize" (68, 10@1)+
9. Jennifer Lopez Featuring LL Cool J "All I Have" (91, 7@1)-1
8. Ashanti "Baby" (252, 51@1)-7
Serena:Ashanti falls off the cliff! Before that was All I Have by J. Lo trotting back a spot. Coming up, we have videos from Lucy Woodward, Unwritten Law, Avril Lavigne, P.O.D. and the epic battle for #1 continues between Amerie, Evanescence and a return. Who will triumph? Find out after our back in the day joint. Last year, the #1 song on DRL was this one. I think you know this one by now rock fans. Adema spent a while at #1 so here's how they did it.
Classic:Adema "The Way You Like It"
Serena:Prepare for the slammin 7. At #7 is Avril Lavigne.
7. Avril Lavigne "Losing Grip" (27, 4)-1
6. Lucy Woodward "Dumb Girls" (26, 2@1)-2
5. Unwritten Law "Rest Of My Life" (24, 5)+2
4. P.O.D. "Thinking About Forever" (5, 4)+1
Serena:Those were Avril down 1 to #7, Lucy down 2 to #6, Unwritten up 2 to #5 and POD up 1 to #4. The return is "Carry On" and it beats Evanescence.
3. Evanescence "Bring Me To Life" (15, 7@1)-
Serena:I never thought we would do it, "Carry On" v.s. "Talkin To Me". You voters needed to get us on top, but you failed to pass the retiring Amerie because she had won with a spin count of 763,541 to 763,540. However, I'm the guilty party because Amerie is who I picked. Here's Carry On returning at #2.
2. Sailor Moon "Carry On" (146, 20@1)RETURN
1. Amerie "Talkin To Me" (231, 22@1)+1 *RETIRED*
Debut Date:Late Summer 2002 @ 25?
Retired Date:Valentine's Day 2003 @ 1
Days On:231
Days At #1:22
Lowest:#27
Consecutive?:You know it baby!
Claim To Fame:2nd video from her to retire as well as longest running video to be retired, but "Baby" will break the record soon.
Notes:Show Me will be her third one to retire, but you never know...

The 20 Most Romantic Songs Of DRL
Me:Welcome to DRL. Today is a two-part spectacular, but of course you want the Valentine's Day Special and we have it for you now. You just saw TRL have its first wedding ever and it was da bomb! We are here with everyone who attended the event and we will get to that, but first we kick off the romance countdown with 3LW. They have been known to make your hearts tingle with pleasure by listening to their sweet voices. What better way to kick it off with a song about the end of a relationship with No More (Baby I'ma Do Right).
20. 3LW "No More (Baby I'ma Do Right)"
Me:That's just a taste of what's to come. Stay tuned because after this, we'll find out if Sailor Moon can blast her competition apart while Amerie makes a huge return!
*break ends*
Me:We are back with this show. DRL is giving you what you need and the next song is from Avril Lavigne. Her songs may be edgy but this next one is showing off her sweet side. I'm With You is up now.
19. Avril Lavigne "I'm With You"
Me:Only on MTV you can see strange video mixes. Where else would you find Justin, Avril, Dream, Nivea, Limp & Janet in a megamix? Speaking of Janet, she is known to be the master of sweetness according to few. This next song proves that she can do it after a long time. This is Together Again.
18. Janet Jackson "Together Again"
Me:Right now, I'm chillin' with the TRL crew. On their valentine's day countdown, they had a nice mix of songs including Kylie, Blink & B2K. I'm pretty sure all you Blink 182 fans want to hear new stuff from them right? Don't worry, once I hear their next tune, I will premiere it on the spot! Also, Blink 182 say that they love to have fun. Damien, why don't you introduce this?
Damien:I will. Here's "Adam's Song".
17. Blink 182 "Adam's Song"
Me:Romance too icky for you? Don't worry! This next song can help you get over that guy or girl you don't want in your life, but that's what I think. Hilarie, you can introduce this one.
Hilarie:Ok, it's Usher with U Got It Bad.
16. Usher "U Got It Bad"
Me:It was a wedding to remember for the newest newlyweds in the form of Erica & Jared. This song coming now will hopefully remind them of their childhood. Carson, you can take this one.
Carson:I will. *N SYNC was very popular until they went their seperate ways. One of their sweetest tunes was this one called This I Promise You.
15. *N SYNC "This I Promise You"
Me:Some romantic songs are not always slow. Puddle Of Mudd proves that with their latest hit "She Hates Me". Here's that joint.
14. Puddle Of Mudd "She Hates Me"
Me:We go back in the day for the next 2 songs. We start this set with a little bit of old school from New Edition.
13. New Edition "Cool It Now"
Me:La La will introduce our 2nd back in the day joint on this special show. Take it away.
La La:Whitney Houston released this song for the Bodyguard soundtrack. DRL fans seem to like 11 more sweet jams than this true classic. Here's "I Will Always Love You".
12. Whitney Houston "I Will Always Love You"
Me:That was the TRL crew giving some of the insights about the countdown. We will head towards Ja Rule, Ashanti, MC Hammer (the minister at the wedding), but most importantly the newlyweds. Our next song is from the song that is hot on MTV. It recently retired on TRL and like Dream's "He Loves U Not", Justin Timberlake is out for revenge in this video. Cry Me A River checks in at #11.
11. Justin Timberlake "Cry Me A River"
Me:Though it wasn't a single, Eden's Crush was so sweet to have this song as a hidden track on their debut album "Popstars". If you don't have the album and you listened to the song on whatever player you have, please get it. Here's the sweet "Promise Me".
10. Eden's Crush "Promise Me"
Me:I'm here with Ja Rule. What do you think of this special countdown?
Ja Rule:I'm feelin' it.
Me:Does Ashanti think the same way?
Ja Rule:You know it!
Me:Well, our next song has some kind of relation to your video. You went for the "Grease" look, but John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John took it to the ultimate test when that movie was filmed. You're The One I Want To is the 3rd back in the day joint. What do you think of it?
Ja Rule:That is such a classic song. I'm glad me and Ashanti were able to do the "Mesmerize" video doing that "Grease" look. Here's that joint.
9. John Travolta & Olivia Newton-John "You're The One I Want To"
Me:Keep in mind, the song doesn't have to had made an appearance on the countdown so keep that in mind. Murder Inc.'s first lady of soul Ashanti is with me for 2 romantic tunes from her. The first one is a jam you will remember forever.
Ashanti:That's right Mike. My 3rd single "Baby" is definitely hotter than most people think. You are the only person to have my song spend over 250 days on the countdown and 50 days at #1. Here's the greatest DRL joint of all-time but not the best romantic tune.
8. Ashanti "Baby"
Me:LL Cool J has our 4th back in the day song. His smash "I Need Love" is a pure ballad and shows why he is the best at rap ballads. Ashanti, feel free to introduce it.
Ashanti:OK! Here's that joint my friend said.
7. LL Cool J "I Need Love"
Me:The back in the day joints are classified as hip-hop/r&b tunes while power ballads don't count for that and we have one from Whitesnake. They've scored a hit with "Here I Go Again" but this joint is "Is This Love". Ashanti, want to introduce this one too?
Ashanti:Uh, sure... I was very young when this came out. Here's Whitesnake with "Is This Love". Whitesnake, eh Mikey?
6. Whitesnake "Is This Love"
Me:I'm with M.C. Hammer who was the surprise minister. Nice to see you again Hammer.
M.C.:Call me M.C.
Me:It's been a long time since we heard from you. Will you be recording any new material?
M.C.:Don't count on it.
Me:Would you like to introduce the #5 tune?
M.C.:You know it! Ashanti is a sweet and sexy lady. I know she remembers this one. Here's Just A Friend by Biz Markie.
5. Biz Markie "Just A Friend"
Me:It was nice to see you again M.C.
M.C.:Thanks for having me.
Me:Ok. We talk to the newlyweds who are on their way to the Bahamas. We'll fly over there now. First, our #4 joint is from Amerie with the sweet "Talkin To Me".
4. Amerie "Talkin To Me"
*arrives in the Bahamas*
Me:At #3 is a joint that best describes my life. It's great just to be alive! Here's Alive by J. Lo.
3. Jennifer Lopez "Alive"
Me:I'm not gonna brag, but who can forget the Scorpions? Truly, they had the biggest rock ballad of all-time, but that's my opinion. Here's "Wind Of Change".
2. The Scorpions "Wind Of Change"
Me:Many of you may disagree, but DRL's most romantic song of all-time is this one. We'll let the newlyweds introduce it.
Erica:Hi.
Jared:Hi.
Me:Here's the #1 song, play it.
Erica:Sure.
Jared:Ok.
Me:Take us home.
Jared:The #1 most romantic song in DRL history is a surprise to several.
Erica:Here's "Foolish" by Ashanti.
1. Ashanti "Foolish"
Erica:Don't move.
Jared:DRL will be right back with the top 25 for 2/15.

Me:That was Lucy W. at #4 with Dumb Girls. We are almost done with the countdown for 2/15 but we aren't through yet. At #3 is the mesmerizing tune "Bring Me To Life" still stuck. Evanescence just can't budge from #3, but they regain a bullet.

Treble Charger Featuring Sum 41 & Avril Lavigne "Hundred Million" (8, 7)
Audioslave "Like A Stone" (2, 4)
Me:Welcome to the show. We are currently in the middle of Great Females weekend. Today's episode spotlights 2 premieres from Eden's Crush and they are not from "Popstars". You will need to download them in order to check them out. If you're still a fan of them, check it out. Meanwhile, we retire Common's first song and Mya's umpteenth today, but not yet. In the first set of five, you will see Jennifer Lopez, Good Charlotte, DMX, All-American Rejects and Jay-Z. We start with Good Charlotte falling four spots. You GC fans need to spread the word about the song.
25. Good Charlotte "The Anthem" (42, 2@1)-4
24. DMX "X Gonna Give It To Ya" (17, 3)-4
23. The All-American Rejects "Swing Swing" (17, 4)-4
22. Jennifer Lopez "Loving You" (39, 4)+1
21. Jay-Z "Excuse Me Miss" (3, 21)+4
Me:Right now, we have the world premiere of a brand-new Eden's Crush song. This is called "Daylight".
*plays song*
Me:Will this one do as good as Get Over Yourself? I doubt it! However, DRL is all about the fans and on February 27th, I will turn 18 and a special countdown will take place. It's all about the requests. You can request anything you want starting on the 23rd, but it must be a song that has been on the countdown. Right now, it's 20-16 and in this set we have Red Hot Chili Peppers, 2 Ashantis, Paulina Rubio and this one from Avril Lavigne taking a plunge of 11 spots.
20. Avril Lavigne "Losing Grip" (29, 4)-11
19. Red Hot Chili Peppers "Can't Stop" (5, 19)+3
18. Paulina Rubio "The One You Love" (42, 1@1)-2
17. Ashanti "Movies" (27, 3@1)+1
16. Ashanti "Baby Remix" (39, 6@1)+1
Me:We have another new song from Eden's Crush on the way, but first it's 15-11 and in this set there is Simple Plan, Finch, Christina Aguilera, P.O.D. and this one from Jennifer Lopez. This is her lowest showing in weeks. It has never left the top 20, but it drops 5.
15. Jennifer Lopez Featuring LL Cool J "All I Have" (93, 7@1)-5
14. Simple Plan "Addicted" (5, 11)-
13. Finch "What It Is To Burn" (9, 13)+2
12. Christina Aguilera "Infatuation" (9, 11)-1
11. P.O.D. "Thinking About Forever" (7, 4)-3
Me:Right now, we have the world premiere of a brand-new Eden's Crush song. This is called "Poison".
*plays song*
Me:Will this one do as good as Get Over Yourself? Most likely, but remember! DRL is about the fans, and you might have a different opinion, like the coca-cola commercial joint retiring on the DRL countdown today. Unfortunately, this is Mya's first song to not hit the top 5 because "Real Compared To What" is in this next set along with The Donnas, Stacie Orrico, Unwritten Law(new #1 today), and Ashanti. Right now, it's time for Stacie Orrico continuing her 2 at a time pattern. This time, it's good for a top ten entry. Whoever is requesting this has done a very good job.
10. Stacie Orrico "Stuck" (7, 10)+2
9. Ashanti "Baby" (254, 51@1)-4
8. Unwritten Law "Rest Of My Life" (26, 1@1)-7
7. The Donnas "Take It Off" (49, 1@1)+6 *Retires In 1 Day*
Me:Although it failed to hit the top 5(what did you expect? It's a commercial?), it does retire high by climbing to #6.
6. Mya & Common "Real Compared To What" (30, 6)+18 RETIRED
Debut Date:Mid January 2003 @ 29
Retired Date:February 2003 @ 6
Days On:30
Peak:#6 (Retired there)
Lowest:#29 (Also debut position)
Consecutive?:Shockingly, Yes!
Claim To Fame:Mya & Common become the first artists to have a song that is a commercial joint retire. This is Common's first to retire and Mya's umpteenth.
Me:The final 5 has Amerie, Evanescence, Sailor Moon, Lucy Woodward and Ja Rule/Ashanti. Can Murder Inc. stop them all? We start with Amerie up a few.
5. Amerie "Show Me" (14, 5)+2
4. Sailor Moon "Carry On" (148, 20@1)-2
Me:Lucy v.s. Evanescence v.s. Ja Rule. Murder Inc. is hot today. All Ja & Ashanti have to do is defeat the nearly invincible Evanescence, because Lucy Woodward is #3.
3. Lucy Woodward "Dumb Girls" (28, 2@1)+1
Me:Evanescence was enraged after Amerie stopped their movement with Talkin To Me. However, the band does regain their momentum and after Unwritten Law and Sailor Moon fell from the top 2. Then they struck with a vengenace, but it was not enough for Ja Rule to keep up so Mesmerize is #2.
2. Ja Rule Featuring Ashanti "Mesmerize" (70, 10@1)+4
1. Evanescence "Bring Me To Life" (17, 8@1)+2

Preview for 2/16/03 P.2
With The Donnas retiring, they might go out on style. Also, Unwritten Law lost a little power, but they are clearly not out of the race at all. DRL Launch's new #1 weekly song "Remember" is expected to return. Tomorrow is also gonna be stated as a top 24.
