Some global single sales estimates, using IFPI and US/UK receipts:
Just Dance
7.7M in 2009 ( http://www.ifpi.org/content/library/DMR2010.pdf)
Outside of 2009, it has sold 3.69M in the US (6.89M - 3.2M in 2009), and 167k in the UK (935k - 767.6k in 2009). That alone is 11.56M.
Add sales outside of 2009 from Canada, Australia and the rest of the world and it's almost certainly at 12M.. It was already a hit in 2008 in Canada/Australia after all.
Poker Face
9.8M in 2009 ( http://www.ifpi.org/content/library/DMR2010.pdf)
Outside of 2009, it sold 2.82M in the US (7.2M - 4.38M in 2009), and 0.24M in the UK (1.12M - 0.882M in 2009). That's 12.86M. The 14M figure sounds about right, probably more at this point
Bad Romance
9.7M in 2010 ( http://www.ifpi.org/content/library/DMR2011.pdf)
Outside of 2010, it sold 3.12M in the US (5.5M - 2.38M in 2010) and 0.58M in the UK (1M - 0.42M in 2010). That alone is 13.40M.
With sales outside of 2010 from other countries it has to be at 14M.
Telephone
7.4M in 2010 ( http://www.ifpi.org/content/library/DMR2011.pdf)
Outside of 2010, it sold 0.89M in the US (3.27M - 2.38M in 2010) and 0.156M in the UK (0.7M - 0.544M). That's 8.45M. 9M sounds about right
Born This Way
8.2M in 2011 ( http://www.ifpi.org/content/library/DMR2012.pdf)
After 2011, it sold 0.524M in the US (4M - 3.476M in 2011) and 0.065M in the UK (0.69M - 0.625M in 2011), that's 8.79M. 9M sounds about right, probably more
Shame it's impossible to find catalog sales in countries besides the US/UK

The Fame's sales in this decade: 2,213,000 - THE FAME - Lady GaGa
2009 sales (SoundScan): 2,237,750 - The Fame - Lady Gaga
2008 sales (according to Yahoo's Chart Watch in the last week of 2008):
2,213,000+2,237,750+150,000 = 4,600,750

That was before C2C, which sold 322k so far.
Total: 10.02M

Slay with this research! So she's matched Rihanna's US album count then in the US, or is roughly in line with her? That's insanely impressive with so fewer releases.
Also at your single sales receipts. I always knew BR was lowballed in estimates that had it at 10-11M, the song have massive longevity in all major markets there was no way it was that far under PF in sales. Just Dance is way above what I thought, what sort of mega hit even with PF taking the spotlight.
The 130M single sales claim in a few different bios... is it really that far off her likely total?

Kind of mad I wasn't a stan during the days she was selling 14,000,000 copies of a single. Must've been an amazing time for stanning.

Not the standard version of C2C rising from the ashes when the deluxe has been slaying it all this time before.

It sold a lot in 2009 already. Paul Grein's Chart Watch:
Quote:
16. Lady Gaga, "Bad Romance," 1,941,000. This sold an additional 2,097,000 copies in 2009, which made it that year's #29 song. Peak: #2.
|
From the Digital Songs chart in the first week of 2011:
Quote:
TW RK Artist Title TW Sales % CHG LW Sales RTD Sales
101 LADY GAGA BAD ROMANCE 34,786 10 31,615 4,514,757
|
So total sales at the end of 2010: 4,514,757 - 34,786 = 4,479,971
Sales in 2010 only: 4,479,971 (total sales) - 2,097,000 (2009 sales) = 2,382,971

Do we have updated worldwide numbers for Cheek to Cheek. I feel like it should be around or close to 600K by now. Getting closer and closer to 1 million.

Born This Way crossed the 1 million mark in Japan sometime in Spring this year. I think it sold 700k in 2011 alone, so yeah. Born This Way is definitely over 9.5 million.

Some Cheek to Cheek history:
Cheek to Cheek debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 with 131,000 copies sold in its first week according to Nielsen SoundScan, earning Gaga her third consecutive number-one album and the second for Bennett. It also topped the Jazz Albums and Traditional Jazz Albums charts.
The debut also made Gaga the first female artist in the 2010 decade to have three number-one albums. Along with the Billboard 200 and Jazz Albums, Cheek to Cheek also entered at number four on the Top Digital Albums chart. The next two weeks, although album sales dropped, Cheek to Cheek held its position at number four on the Billboard 200, with sales of 59,000 and 37,000 copies respectively.
