But wait, from when to when Grammy choose the nominees?
I mean what it's the time when songs are realesed and can be choosed.
How is the period?

The deadline for submission is September 30th, and the gap considered is 1 year span time.
Song must have been released as SINGLES to get nominated, unless they are live versions of songs previously belonging to a Grammy awarded record, or belonging to a record already past it's year submitting time (i.E.: Train Hey Soul Sister' last year, Linking Park in 2008 - I think - , Maroon 5' "This Love" etc...).
The ballots which produce the actual nominees will be cast until end of November because I think the Nominations Show is set for the end of November this year?
It's gonna be a rough battle to get a nod this time... so many spaces got deleted from the re-arranging of the categories, these are gonna be very hard Grammies to fit into.
Talking about the chances of Tony Bennet ftr. Amy (or Gaga, but I see more Amy if he wants to attempt at winning, because the Committee will love the posthumous homage, for how cringe-worthy I will feel about it...

I miss Amy's masterful talent and I don't like this exploiting of her now), I think beside MLJ (which will be a DEFINITE contender in Duo/Group, and probably also in ROTY), other nominees will surely be Coldplay (if they submit in Pop...) and I am shocked no one has mentioned Super Heavy in the lot of contenders for Pop and rock cathegories (they will most likely get submitted to pop, because of the heavy gender infusion of their collaborative efforts).
Super Heavy is a collection of master performers + LEGENDS (Mick), and they are all alive and kicking (the album is amazing imho).
They sure have a shot at anything they will be submitted to, and in this, Sir Mick can serve a hot chocolate&seat to anybody else trying to steal his thunder.
The way new categories have shorten the chances for songs/artists to get rewarded will see a very thick competition this year, as lots of fillers won't be get a chance to be considered, due to restricted spaces.
I still STRONGLY hope Adele sweeps it all
