We need to separate estimations from actual sales. We could have a charts & sales post at the top and then maybe transform the third or fourth post in to a chart-runs and estimations posts. Certified sales>>>estimates.
Also, BRILLANTE>>>>multiple faves.

U.S. album sales:
...Baby One More Time - 12,191,614 copies sold ( 10,591,614 Nielsen Soundcan, 1,600,000 Sony BMG)
Oops!...I Did It Again - 10,421,809 copies sold ( 9,211,809 Nielsen Soundscan, 1,210,000 Sony BMG)
Britney - 4,842,000 copies sold ( 4,342,000 Nielsen Soundscan, 588,000 Sony BMG)
^
This is how we should do our charts.
I'm not here for looking like a Navy member and just posting estimations (even though ours are actually possible and generally true).

I will add her US sales + the sources as soon as I get hold of the other pages. Hopefully Foxay will give them to me.
I updated the OP with her worldwide stats for now, I'm going to use one of the posts to post all the sources + breakdowns, etc. For now it's safe to say she has sold over 175 million records.

I love the OP
I love that I can say Britney's label hasn't claimed sales for TSC, FF or BJ

Mediatraffic estimates 550,000 but they don't track a lot of countries such as China (BJ did pretty well there) and most of Latin America so we estimate over 600,000. The numbers/estimations add up to 620,000 but 600,000 seems more reasonable.

We're willing to undercut receipts until we can get verification that it sold more. When you start adding up receipts, you see that the 10M number included ringtone sales, music video sales, etc.

Well, if people can use IFPI receipts to back up WW single sales, then I guess technically we can also use records to back up WW single sales (IFPI uses records and not just pure singles).
For the sake of this thread, we want to separate everything down and break down the record sales as much as possible to show people where these numbers come from. That is why we can't use records to boost single sales.
