Whole on my real, I decided to take time and really get to the core of what SacRED really is and what it represents.
The title comes from the color of blood, which runs down her nose and lip daily due to her cocaine addiction.
State of Grace- the high obviously
Red- See above abt the album title
Treacherous- Falling into the addiction
Trouble.- Realizing what pain the coke has caused her
All Too Well- remembering life before the coke took everything from her
22- not caring about her addiction
I Almost Do- wanting to back to the past, but not knowing who to call for help
We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together- Her first separation from the drug
Stay Stay Stay- she is delirious due to withdrawal and cannot make up her mind
The Last Time- self-explanatory
Holy Ground- remembering all of the good things that came from her addiction, but finally being free
Sad Beautiful Tragic- accepting the coke as a phase, but knowing that it was an important part of shaping her
The Lucky One- she tells us that she wishes she could stop being famous, and just go do coke and have sex with randos, but she knows she cannot
Everything Has Changed- She finally says good bye to coke and begins the next chapter of her life
Starlight- you can be crazy without being high all of the time
Begin Again- She meets a new drug, Heroine, and the addiction process starts over
Truly a great album

Just realised Red is a concept album about the fusion of love and cocaine, and all the extreme highs and extreme lows that result from these 2 powerful things. "State Of Grace", "Treacherous", "I Knew You Were Trouble", "22", "I Almost Do", "The Last Time", "Sad Beautiful Tragic", "Starlight"... It is so clear now. Cocaine pervades this album. And we all know Lord was heavily addicted during SN era.
Reductive.
We all know Lord was addicted during SN but I thought it was over now? Maybe the hate She got this year brought Her back to it. Hopefully the fatal overdose waits a few years. I need more music.

What happened in Japan?
Too bad digital sales don't count for album sales there.
Stephen Stills foreshadowed the entire Youthquake movement when he penned “For What It’s Worth” after running into a conflagration between cops and teens protesting the closure of Pandora’s Box, one of the few all-ages hot spots on the infamous Sunset Strip. That singular event sums up Stills, who has had an uncanny knack for being in the right place at the right time, whether it was running into Neil Young and bassist Bruce Palmer in LA traffic and immediately forming Buffalo Springfield, or becoming a last minute stand-in on Super Session after Mike Bloomfield left the project in the middle of the night. He’s been an ongoing member of CSN&Y, rented a house to The Rolling Stones during their 1969 tour and counted Jimi Hendrix as one of his closest friends. Today, he is a member of yet another super group, The Rides, along with his former Super Session compatriot Barry Goldberg and guitar savant Kenny Wayne Shepherd. The trio released their debut record Can’t Get Enough this past August.
Do you ever have second thoughts about being so vulnerable in writing songs about what was going on in your love life?
No. I’m a little like Taylor Swift in that regard. Wear your heart on your sleeve, then just write about it. **** ‘em.
In my time zone, I just woke up to the news about the Pinnacle award. I am so proud of her! She's achieved more by 23 than I will in a lifetime. Who cares if Scotty probably paid for this award? Has anyone's career ever been so flawless?
