Are we still missing the instrumentals of Starring Role, The State of Dreaming, Lonely Hearts Club, and Buy the Stars? When do you think we'll get them?

This album is AMAZING!! It tells such a wonderful story. For the first time, I did more thinking than listening with this album! It is so deep, her vocals are great. Can't wait for the U.S. release.

I also want to go to the Lonely Hearts Club Tour. I would see her 7/21/12.

Why would someone upload a performance of that song instead of P&W?

I know I know.
I'm excited for her to come back to the US! I hope her label books her on Saturday Night Live in the fall.

Yeah I find with this album I'm always deep in thought about the subjects Marina brings up. I usually end up in some sort of internal debate with myself.

"I don’t think that you have to reinvent yourself every time, but I think it’s in my nature to want to explore different parts of me," she says. "For example, for the next album musically, now that I’ve quenched my thirst on doing the pop album that I'd always wanted to, I can feel a lot freer to go and do something completely different again, so I guess I’ll just see."

I know it's miles away, but I still can't wait to see what she does next.

I can't with Marina having me excited over the next album when Electra Heart isn't even released everywhere yet. But I'm so excited for more music.
What I love about Marina's music is that her "pop album" is still so different and unique to anything the big pop girls would release, overall she's just a unique being and her music reflects that.

Yeah it wasn't her best but I think the sound quality of those videos is quite muffled anyway, at least it seems so to me. Despite that her Bubblegum Bitch performance from the same night looked really good.

I don't think she can hear herself during that performance, she keeps playing with her earpiece and at one point appears to signal someone that she's having issues.
She'll have plenty of opportunities to practice anyway.

Sorry to double post (well not that sorry)
But I was just wondering what everyone's reactions were to Marina when they first heard of her? Was it instant love? Or did it take time?
I only ask because I see a lot of posts on Tumblr from people saying they initially dismissed her and then when they actually learnt more about her and listened to more of her songs they fell in love with her.
For me I remember reading that she'd come 2nd on the BBC sound poll and then saw her being interviewed on MTV and thought wow she's beyond stunning, she looks like one of those popular bitches from a US high school (she was probably wearing a cheerleading outfit at the time) but not a cutesy blonde bitch who'll slag off your outfit but a vindictive bitch who'll steal your boyfriend for ***** and giggles. Then I saw the Hollywood video for the first time, which in my mind confirmed the stunning troll bitch hypothesis, and then I thought "wow she has a man's voice, I suppose you can't have it all"! I think it was the 2nd time I saw the video, when before I could switch over I heard the line "I'm obsessed with the mess that's America" and I was "I actually am obsessed with the mess that's America" and so listened to whole song and completely fell for her. After a little research I discovered that Marina was me but as a popstar and TFJ was my life.
I can't believe how wrong I almost was.
On another note are there any Greek Diamonds here? How has she been received in Greece?

The first time I heard of her was through a small segment on a music channel on TV that is called "Ripe clip of the week" and every week highlights the coolest video of that week, and the video was 'Shampain'. I dismissed her the first few times seeing the video, she didn't capture my interest straight away. And then one day it came on again and I actually sat down and watched the video, and it started growing on me. I looked her up on iTunes and previewed all of 'The Family Jewels' songs, and 'Oh No!' really stood out to me, which I looked up on YouTube and saw the video. Then her other songs started growing on me and I bought TFJ, and ever since then I've been in love. I didn't like indie/alternative music until I heard 'The Family Jewels'.

I just can't at how the Australian press is slaying the British press!
OMG why couldn't one of these interviews have been for a British magazine.
Well it looks like Lies is going to be a single at some point:
"I’m going to be totally honest... You don’t go to Luke for an album track. You go to him for a single, because he’s expensive," she giggles. "And I got two brilliant singles from him, so I think with that, I did have a commercial sound in mind"

I love that Marina introduced you to a new sound. She was definitely the first indie girl I really paid any attention to, I used to love indie bands but the solo females did nothing for me before Marina.
