S&M - 4.5/5 - One of my favorites, a real hype track and could definitely be a mainstream hit.
WMN- 5/5- Do I even need to say how epic this song is...plus it has Drake, so it was a guarantee that I'd love it
Cheers- 3/5- Idk, I know everyone seems to be loving it but I'm indifferent to it. It's actually one of my least favorites ):
Fading- 4/5- Another great track, I like the orchestra in it.
Only Girl- 5/5- Probably my second favorite to WMN, great dance song and an ideal choice for single #1...just wish it would've hit Hot 100's #1 spot.
California King- 5/5- Probably my favorite ballad on the album, it's really intense and you can feel emotion in Rihanna's voice
Man Down- 3.5/5- I'm not sure if this one is going to be a grower or not but I like the raggae feel and how she emphasizes her accent.
Raining Men- 5/5- Nicki kills it with her verse; This would make for a great crossover hit.
Complicated- 4/5- Interesting beat and surprisingly strong vocals from Rihanna
Skin- 5/5- Everyone has said that it's a mashup of G4L and Question Existing...and yeah, that pretty much says it all. This song is ill, definitely one of my favorites.
LTWYL II- 4/5- I expected more but I prefer this to the original...I almost forgot to include this just b/c it seems more like a "bonus track" than an actual song.
Overall I like the this album a lot and would give it 4/5. The current singles and Raining Men, California King Bed, Skin, and Complicated will probably keep me coming back to them.
However...Rated R still wins for me
...even with the Drake collaboration
still gonna keep my preorder on itunes though, no reason why not to buy it; it showcases her versatility and her vocal strength really amazes me on some of these tracks
