Viva La Vida is a million times more superior than Paradise in any aspect. The lyrics alone digs Paradise's hole six feet under. I like Paradise but c'mon it has nothing on Viva La Vida.

I was ready to pitch one hell of a fit when I saw "Trouble" below "In My Place"...but then IMP came in only one spot ahead. I actually had a dream that IMP went #1 on this rate. Thank god that didn't come true.

I wouldn't say that "Clocks" is the best winner, but it could have been much worse. Great job making this rate happen, jomarr. Until we meet again.

What an amazing top 8, "Paradise" is not on the same level of the other 7 songs, but it deserves its recognition as the only decent single from the messy Mylo Xyloto era.

I have to say even though most of the people say VLV is overrated and it's far from being their best single, it was the song that helped me to grow more interest on Coldplay's music. In the past I didn't really pay attention to their music except for "Yellow", "Fix You" & "The Scientist"

I love "Clocks" but it's my least favorite single from the album, maybe because it was kind of overplayed in my country, but it’s still a great winner.

I'm so happy "The Scientist" reached the top 2, that was my favorite single of the 00's decade, and it's really amazing to see that nowadays it's still remembered as one of Coldplay's signature songs. When they played this song in my country at the VLV tour, 2 years ago, it was one of the best experiences of my life.

I can't wait for the discography rate, it will be hard to do, but Coldplay is worthy.

Finally thanks jomarr for doing this rate, you did an awesome job.

So... I was at this training all morning and afternoon and missed everything, but here are my impressions:

I wish In My Place had been higher; I just have lots of great, nostalgic associations with it. But I'm cool with top 10

Paradise is way too high for my taste but it could've been worse, so fine.

Sad to see Fix You miss the top 3, but oh well, it did fine (and I could've rated it higher). I have to say, though, that I'd forgotten how good it was until I did this rate (I used to think of it as being overrated), so thanks for that!

Good winner and top 3 overall. Clocks wouldn't have been my personal favorite choice to win this (that would've been either The Scientist or Life in Technicolor II), but it's okay. At one point in my life that definitely was my all-time favorite Coldplay song, so I'm cool with it winning.

However, can we somehow ban anybody who gave any of the songs in the top 5 anything below a 7 and Princess of China anything above a 4?? Simply unacceptable...

Overall, great rate!! I had a lot of fun doing it, and while I probably won't do the discography rate (wayyy too many songs), I'm looking forward to the results of it. Also, I'd love it if someone with enough time for it would do a Coldplay videography rate. I mean, they have one of the most consistently good bodies of work of any band or artist I know, so it'd be fun to judge the images that came with these songs (and see how the two rates compare).

A lot were asking about the Videography Rate.. I will try to host it. Again, try. The Hurts Like Heaven music video should be out by next month so by that time, I will be able to put 30 videos in the rate. But the Discography rate should go first! Katy V.! we all can't wait for it.

But I'm happy for "Clocks," which also got a 10 from me. I never have good luck with rates, so this one was a pleasant surprise. The majority of my 10s made the top 10!
