There's a reason the singles keep flopping. She's releasing quick videos and not doing much promotion. She's trying to sell things based on her name alone when there's no reason that she should expect that to work. There's a reason artists do performances on big TV Shows to promote their singles. Each song off of PF:RR that she released as a single could have been at least a moderate success.

Remind me which single (besides RBMS) flopped?

It's really not hard at all to make the argument that BITT flopped. It peaked slightly higher than RBMS on the Hot 100 and although it peaked at 7 on the R&B and Rap charts, it hasn't even been certified as gold. On top of that, both of those songs barely charted internationally or received a certification...anywhere. When you look at PTA, it's seeing similar success at the moment to MTN, which is generally regarded as a flop, though PTA has yet to actually peak although it seems to be slowing down already.
I'm not trying to drag Nicki; I'm really not. She just needs to get her act together again and organize herself better.

Pound The Alarm is not going to be big as starships & super bass.

BITT has in fact, passed the 500K mark in downloads. YMCMB/Universial is slow on certifications.

BITT smashed on its respective format. Its rare that Hip Hop/Rap songs chart well on the Hot 100.
And PTA peaked higher than MTN and its not done yet.

Okay, so it went gold. Check It Out still charted better than BITT in most countries. The fact is that BITT barely made a splash anywhere; it did decent in the US, but not much more than that. I'll be the first to admit that, but I'll also be the first to admit that BITT had much more potential and could have done much better if managed better by Nicki and her label. I don't understand why that concept is so hard to accept.

BITT literally peaked at the same position and sold the same as Did It on'Em. But IA on the management of singles part.

But no one's really trying to argue that DIOE was that much of a success.

The only time I can really remember an artist smashing with a pop and urban single at the same time is Only Girl/What's My Name?, where they were both in the top 5 of the Hot 100 at the same time I think. But that was a bit different, since WMN was also the 2nd pop single, as well as being an urban single.

Um...did it on em was a success...as is beez..they are both urban hits that were not meant for crossover.
Now the song with Chris brown is another story. They expected him to still be in past 2011 because of the comeback hype but his antics made him regress. I bet they wanted a crossover with that. It is a flop/underperformer.
I recall starships...the song that spent 20+ weeks in the top 10 being the international song whereas beez was local.
Basically, beez is a hit, did it on em is a hit and pta is on its way.

You are right Willy, they need to certify her singles and pf 2x platinum before the new era.

I don't really think they wanted Right By My Side to crossover, because they released it shortly after Starships, and did they even send it to pop radio?

No. Only Urban and Rhythmic. And RBMS got a lot of promotion just like SS, but it was overshadowed. So then they released BITT to save the day. That's why there was a triple single release. At least everything worked out though.

Amen...
BITT & RBMS= Worst flops of the era
And Pound the Alarm is Slowing down... I hate how she released this so late... My radio stations JUST started playing it and school already started :/
So I guess that means no 2012 Nicki Minaj Summer Jams for me...
Just a Spring Break jam and a Fall Jam...
