Because there's hundreds of new members and that would destroy the server. Duplicate registration IPs are blocked and people only get caught when they share IPs with both accounts. Basically people need to post enough to get caught.
It's good that registration has been open only for a few minutes at odd times of the day.
The day when we offer a full day or open regs there will be a bunch of dupes and trolls creating accounts from their free Burger King Wi-Fi access.
400Lux had a dupe? What's the point of even having one? I guess the permabanned members have a reason to, but then they give themselves away so easily, like that one new member.
It'd be better once we get the upgrade if we went back to registrations being opened once a month or something. The onslaught of new members every week if it turns out that way.
