Previous events lead me to believe that they'll just keep pushing it back, but I have a feeling that
this is it. Regardless of how the single does, they are gonna pop that album out. Mariah has tweeted/IG'd about the album being just about done and that it's almost ready for consumers. At this point, it would be better for them to just release what ever songs they have now and then start working on a new album/angle right away since/if the current one is going nowhere.
but if the talk about her filming a video in PR is true, then they must have faith that this single can be good. I don't think they'd be willing to spend all this money to send her out there along with all necessary equipment and staff unless they were confident that the single would take off.
Gotta keep the faith.
but like the others said: they are gonna need to promote the Hell outta this album either way. Regardless of how the lead single does, it's obvious that Mariah is gonna be needing some extra pushes to keep her name in the spotlights. The public needs a proper reminder of who she is and how great her new material is. I doubt the album will smash first week but if they play their cards right, they can get good longevity.

Can you guys believe they just voted Always Be My Baby as the worst ballad of
this selection?
