Not a big impact but it's definitely something Serena thinks about. Unless she's playing Maria, Venus, or Stosur in slam finals there's almost a 0% chance of her losing. Those 3 have shown that they have what it takes to stop Serena in a slam final. Every other player she's played in a final of a slam has not had that ability

Beating her once is not a trend of playing her hard. Azerenka has been far more competitive in finals over the last few years than any of those players.
I'm like the biggest Maria hater here yet I can easily say she's one of the best to ever pick up a racquet.
Serena > Venus > Justine > Maria > the rest from Maria's era . She's played in quite possibly the hardest era in Women's Tennis history yet were beating the likes of Serena, Venus, Henin, Clijsters, Ana, Jelena, Hingis, etc.
She's the real deal. You don't win 5 slams (one of each at least once) by mistake

Yet in Slam finals, Azarenka is 0-2 against Serena (not to mention like 0-9 or some absurd number in slam matches period).
At least Maria knows how to win in those situations
