It depends on what you mean by success. Almost certainly not the superstardom that Marina desires. In fact, almost certainly not stardom either. I'm sure that she can acquire a large cult following, though.
When I saw her perform in Boston a year ago, it was at a small club, but the audience was utterly and completely rabid! I've never seen anything like it, and I've seen a lot of live music.
But I've seen this before with quirky British pop music that does well in other countries, but doesn't really translate to a mainstream American audience: I've been a huge fan of Kate Bush for quite a few years. She's been a huge star in England and elsewhere, but she's only ever had one Top 40 single here in the US, and her albums have never been in the Top 10. And if they even make it into the Top 40, they barely dent it.
On the other hand, when Kate came to NYC to sign autographs, the line went all the way around a city block. There's a chance Marina could get that kind of audience.
