I was thinking of this tbh but I wanted to wait for the chart to come out so there wouldn't be any confusion in the title. I also have some more basic ideas for promo where I need to work out the details, but hopefully the parties have been good enough so far

Paige Elliot - "Ready for the Weekend"
It's official! Paige Elliot's debut single, "Ready for the Weekend", has officially released to iTunes, Amazon and physical retailers everywhere. The song has also been sent to radio stations for spinning.
The song's video, directed by Jonas Åkerlund, is set to release sometime later this week.
Release date: September 28, 2013
Genre: Complextro, pop, dance
Length: 3:40
Written by: Paige Elliot, Aino Jawo, Caroline Hjelt, Elof Loev & Tove Nilsson
Produced by: Elof Loev (Additional production by Dr. Luke & Cirkut)
The song opens to church choir-like vocals singing, with a minor echo ("Grab somebody, go and live it up") over silence. After the line repeats, a rumbling, glitch-like bass line begins with Paige's voice singing and a high-pitched, almost-computerized voice singing along with her as background vocals ("Yeah, baby come on, get ready, ready, ready for the weekend") for a quick passage before a beat hits. The beat has constant drunks kicking, with loud, airy-and-bass-heavy synths blasting in regular blurbs, being cut out every now and then for a low bass note. The song continues right into the first verse, with a rolling bass line and stomping drums as Paige sing-talks about getting ready for the weekend ("The weekend is coming up, wanna go along?"). The verse is short, only around 15 seconds, but is still perfect for clubs. The song rolls right into the beginning of the chorus, and the lack of transition can nearly be confused for a continuation of the verse since the beat is the same for this part ("Come on and play, riding my wave, crashing like we got just one day"). Paige actually sings here, sounding passionate yet ready for, no doubt to it, a party. You can practically imagine this being played at some house party. However, just after this, the high-pitched voice that accompanied Paige earlier returns on it's own for the lyrics it sang earlier ("Grab somebody, go live it up, yeah you don't even know") over airy synths and a rapidly-increasing drum buildup. Just after the buildup, there's another complextro breakdown like earlier in the song. After the breakdown, the chorus' lyrics return again over the looping beat ("The harder you go, the better you feel, come on and grab somebody, get ready for the weekend"). Just after, another breakdown occurs, bringing the heavy beat back yet again. After the chorus, the high-voice returns for a distorted, dragged-out line over silence, as if a tape was winding down ("Get ready for the weeeeeekeenndd...."). The song then slams back into the second verse, with the same melody and pattern, but more lyrics, with Paige sing-talking yet again about getting wasted ("Gettin' hammered, party hard, till we see the sun"). It then continues to the high-pitched voice, with the part of the chorus that has the verse's instrumental being cut out, however, like at the beginning, Paige is singing over it with her own, un-pitched vocals again. Immediately after, another breakdown occurs, with the bass level of the complextro blurbs being made more prominent, along with louder drums. With the complextro beat still going on, the chorus continues as it did earlier before it then slams into a new verse. Paige sings low this time over a wobbling, layered beat that occasionally cut out by a "wub"-like noise ("Like a diamond in the light, I'm a fun-loving bitch, I know it"). Drums continue to build under the low vocals before it cuts to the middle 8, where the church-choir vocals begin yet again. Like the intro to the song, Paige sings over the high-pitched vocals again, but this time, like in the second chorus, the instrumental is a rapidly building up drum beat with airy synths. Just after the buildup, there's an extended breakdown, with louder, crashing drums added, and more continuing bass note blurbs. After the breakdown, the chorus continues over the beat, not changing the instrumental one bit. The final chorus switches back and forth, rapidly, between the two different lyrics that occur in the chorus, but the high-pitched voice is not heard, as it's all Paige. After the chorus, the song begins to die out, and like the post-chorus, there's the high-pitched voice being drawn out like a winding-down tape over subtle, string-like synths until it fades to silence.

Get ready for the weekend
OUTRO:
Get ready for the weekend

But seriously Robbie IRL I LOVE "Ready For The Weekend." It should honestly have been a single instead of "All Night" (although it's a flawless bop )

The fact that it's on 'Iconic', 'Icona Pop', AND 'This Is...' yet it's not a single...
It's their best song.

SKY FERREIRA NAMED 'ARTIST TO WATCH' BY BILLBOARD
Sky Ferreira has already seemed to have broke through into pop music. Releasing a compilation album, 'Sky Ferreira: The Unreleased Collection', Ferreira is confirmed to have made her first entry on the charts. The placement and the number of copies sold are have yet to be released but will tonight at the CAL Event Chart Party tonight. Ferreira's lead single off her debut album 'Teen Queen' was released earlier today and has already made it's way into the top ten on iTunes. With tons of promotion coming up, you can expect Ferreira will have great success. With her fresh and dark grunge image and Indie-pop music, Billboard have given her the title of Billboard's 'Artist to Watch'.

The chart is OFFICIALLY complete... we're doing a top 10 single-chart for this week due to the changes of amounts of artists and such. Next week the Top 20 Singles + Top 10 Albums should come into effect (unless we don't have enough albums )

JOHN SEEING TAYLOR BEHIND KATY'S BACK?
Rumors have been flying everywhere about the John Mayer, Katy Perry, and Taylor Swift story saying that John Mayer and Swift were recently at the same venue at Taylor's album premiere concert in Nashville at the Bridgestone Arena. With Mayer accordingly the inspiration behind Swift's album 'All at Once' released this past Friday it is a bit hard to believe. But we have heard from multiple witnesses that Mayer and Swift were seen pretty close together backstage after the show. We cannot imagine how Katy Perry (Mayer's allegedly current girlfriend) will feel or must feel about this rumor that is taking over the web. Swift will be out doing album promotion this week and you can surely bet she will be asked about these rumors at least in one of them. Poor Little Katy Perry.

Last Night: TMZ Exposes the Elliot Divorce
Last night, after weeks of rumors that Paige and David Elliot would be getting a divorce, TMZ finally acknowledged the rumors, and claimed that they finally had the answers to all the questions.
In their episode last night, they claimed that David Elliot himself had talked to them about it, and that he had confirmed that he and Paige were getting a divorce. TMZ did, however, have a video recording of the following conversation occurring between a TMZ spokesperson and David Elliot
David: "Paige has her own issues she needs to work out. She's a workaholic, and too much of a damn diva. She needs to get her head out of her ass and start realizing other people exist, and I'm not talking about a director... She needs to pay attention to other people in her life, so, yeah, I filed for divorce. I don't want to be with her, though I'm pretty sure, like the desperate bitch she is, she still wants to stay married to me."
TMZ: "Is this going to be a clean divorce?"
David: "I don't think so. She'll put up a fight. I think she's past the point where she will try to convince me not to divorce her, because last I heard, she's going to be suing me for emotional trauma, physical assault and some other ********."
TMZ: "Physical assault?"
David: "Yeah. When I was initially leaving the house after I told her I was done with it, she held my hand and was literally on the ground, asking me not to leave. I kicked her away from me so I could leave."
TMZ: "And you expect not to be sued for this?"
David: "We'll see how things go."
It is unsure if there's going to be an actual court date for the divorce, or if it'll be more simple with just the two people and their lawyers.
Paige has yet to make an official statement on the matter.

SKY FERREIRA BBC RADIO 1 INTERVIEW
Sky Ferreira was in London this morning and she was nice enough to stop by at BBC studios to give an exclusive interview and acoustic performance of her song 'Teen Queen' which was released today and has been playlisted by BBC Radio 1 and 1xtra. The interview was about six minutes long and Sky showed no signs of anxiety or shyness (maybe cause she was sniffing some cocaine; kidding this is just promo placement for Azealia's new single out next).
Sky Ferreira's in the studio. Her brand new single 'Teen Queen' just dropped and it's quite the banger. Tell us about Teen Queen, Sky.
Well it's the first single off my album that'll be released in the next few weeks or so. It's just a real fiery and savage track. It has some punch behind it.
We'll play it right after this interview with Sky and I think you're performing it for us too?
Yeah, at least that's what my band told me before we came out here.
People are loving the song Sky. It's already top ten on iTunes in the US, and it's doing amazing in the UK too. You're pretty new to all this success. Is there a feeling you get whenever you have success?
I don't know how to react to it. I've never been a real commercial success until I signed with Tigerlily Recordings. It's so awkward looking at the iTunes charts and seeing me in the top ten. I just don't know what to do you know?
You're on Tigerlily. You share the label with Taylor Swift, Azealia Banks, and Leona Lewis. Quite the variety? Do you girls ever hang out because you're on the same label?
We all met up a week ago at the label meet where we talk about our records and it was nice. All of the girls are sweet. Especially Taylor. She's really nice.
With your debut album coming up, did you feel pressure to make it the best it could be?
Yeah, people've been waiting so long for it and I didn't want it to be a bust and people be like 'oh we waited five years for this ********'. It's a album I'm proud of and so are my label.
What's the direction of the album?
Indie-pop. But really the whole theme of the album is just exaggerated pop culture with a hint of grunge. It sounds a hot mess saying it but when you see the album cover and the tracklist, it all makes sense.
How many tracks are on the album?
I believe fifteen or sixteen. We have another half of the album to finalize.
When can we expect your playboy cover by the way?
Sometime next month. I wasn't even told the release date of it.
What was the theme of the shoot?
Very Lolita'ish.
Thank's for coming in Sky. Now here's Sky brand new single 'Teen Queen'
-plays song-
Sky performed an acoustic version of Teen Queen sounding flawless.
