Not wanting **** about calling a US Senator when I'm not a US citizen across my screen does not mean I don't care, I just don't want the **** on my screen. It seems assuming that everyone is American.

It's not under the assumption that everyone is America, it's that the site itself is. This bill is going after American sites and ATRL is one of them. Even people out of the country can help it.

I know and I did my bit but the bar is annoying none the less, yes it is the entire point it's just annoying that people world wide suffer because corrupt American politicians want to block the Americans freedom of speech/information because ultimately that's what it is, another degree of control over the media.

If this is so important, why not just close ATRL for the day?

Some people didn't think most users could handle it
I wasn't online when they decided, but I would have cheered for a whole day suspension.

It's still happening.
Can I have a temporary name change or something?

Got it. Can't say I agree (with it not being a banable offence), but thanks for explaining.

Suggestion:
In the future, we should be able to edit polls, poll choices.
Not only that.. but those threads that have a different round each time, like.. 'Which is (artist)'s best album?' could just update each time with a new poll, with the artists' list of albums so people can vote in that way instead of just commenting. Then when the round ends, share the results, put up a new poll for a new artist, and do it all again.
This would also be a bit helpful for request countdowns in Your Top Ten.. vote a maximum of 1, or even more than that, songs.. then update with a clean sheet again.

Being able to edit the choices would mean resetting the results. Why not just make a new poll again? Are you suggesting this so the thread portion is the same but the poll changes? Seeing we are mainly a forum, which means threads, it makes more sense to have the thread more consistent with the poll choices. If you want to explore other poll venues for your countdowns, I would recommend using a consistent outside source. I know PollCode.com lets you reset votes but even them, as a poll site, don't allow you to edit the choices/question.

I don't know if it's a new MOD or they're all getting strict, but threads are being shut down within 30 seconds.
At least, for entertainment factor (unless of course extremely offensive and/or obscene), give it 5 ****ing minutes so we can at least read what it says.

I honestly feel happy for their closing threads quicklier than before because it is terribly annoying to see pointless threads full of posts like these:
or
If mods actually enhanced a policy of leaving well-deserved-to-be-closed threads opened for 5 minutes, that would cause an inmense disorder in the forum and would increase any perception of injustice for wrong and biased mods' decisions.

I'm pretty sure the whole reason for new mods was so that reports could be gotten to faster and the load wouldn't be so much. Hence people receiving warnings minutes after the post, compared to receiving a warning days after, like it used to be.
